Been skying there for 40 years. Personal are very helpful and knowledgeable. Snow conditions depend on the year, some good some not so good. I would always call or check online first. If you are an expert skying fanatic North Carolina in noway compares to Colorado or Utah, Lake Tahoe etc... but a good place to take the kids for a fun weekend.

I visit Boone, NC about once a year, sometimes more. I have tried a couple of the places there out for snowboarding and Sugar Mountain is my favorite so far! I will be going to Sugar Mountain the next chance I get to go snowboarding for sure! They have both beginner and expert trails, which is good for me. I have to get warmed up before I go to the top of the mountain!

We had a great time snow tubing. I just wish the operation ran more smoothly and I think there should be a safer way for children to get back to the top.

Was there for October fest. The fest wasn't that great but, the resort was pretty

Great place if the weather is good. Beech Mt. Is the only other place I ski in NC
