Thanks for being a rare bakery that does not LOAD everything with tons of sugar.

This bakery is great! They always have new treats and flavors of cupcakes to try. As well as many different coffees with assorted flavors to choose from. Sugar whipped carries cold brew, nitro brew and hot coffee along with smoothies and on occasion, milkshakes! I can sit and work on my laptop, as they offer free wifi. They also usually have seasonal flavored cupcakes, I recently had a pumpkin cupcake with pumpkin cookie dough as an icing replacement, and it was to die for!
   I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone who needs something to sweeten up their day, or need a cake for a special occasion, they can do it all.

As my rear end can attest to, I am quite the connoisseur of baked goods.  If I were not already married, I would possibly be in the market for a husband that might or might not be a cupcake. I'm trying to say I have a lot of experience with pastries and related deliciousness. 

I have tried to go to this bakery a few times and they were always closed on the days I found myself at their door. Their days off seem odd (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), but whatever. Finally got in today and got two each of six different flavors of cupcakes and two of the salted chocolate chip cookies for our dinner party guests to sample.

The cookies were mediocre. The texture was cakey and soft and there was a definite overcast of salt, but that was about it. With a savory/sweet combination like this (or maple bacon), one expects the flavors to be strong enough and interesting enough to complement each other.  I am a fan of Panera's Kitchen Sink cookie and was hoping this one would give theirs a run for its money. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed. There was salt and there was sugar but nothing remarkable.

The cupcakes had mixed reviews. We had Almond, Pumpkin Spice, German Chocolate (though it's called Pecan something or another...I tried to find it on their website, but that thing is a train wreck), Maple Bacon, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Carrot Cake. I was able to sample the Almond, Pumpkin Spice, German Chocolate and Maple Bacon.  Every single person that tried the cupcakes said the cake portion was rubbery and didn't seem flavorful at all...as though the cake part was a generic flavor and the differentiating, specialized flavor was only in the icing. That's fine, but not what any of us have experienced from a non-grocery store bakery cupcake. A few folks said the icing was overly sweet but I didn't find the icing to be too cloying. That said, while the flavors were fine and usually reminiscent of the flavor they were supposed to portray, there was nothing memorable about any of them except the maple bacon cupcake. Sadly, the memory isn't good. The bacon was rubbery and not crisp at all. Also, it wasn't salty but instead, very smoky which was definitely not what any of us were expecting. The smoke part wasn't the issue as much as the soggy part. Soggy bacon on soft icing is actually kind of gross. Most people agreed the flavors of the icings were not vivid enough to carry the boring cake. 

Overall, the cupcakes were better than what I could have made but certainly not something I would seek out and look forward to purchasing. This makes me quite sad because I was rooting for this to be a win.

Love the baked goods at sugar whipped.   I always leave with more than I planned to buy.   I love the option to buy just a slice of cake.
