As a part of Waterloo recreation area, this is my all time most frequented campground and for good reason. Staff are very helpful and friendly. This is an awesome place to bring children. Very clean bathrooms and showers. They have boat and canoe rentals as well. Full and half day rates are available.

This is a special beautiful place in Chelsea Michigan.  In the summer you can swim, canoe, horseback riding or walk the trails. In Fall the leaves are prettier here than any other place. Campfire's allowed. Tent, camper or RV's are welcome. Electrical available, no water hook up but water stations and restrooms are available.

Getting to this campground made us wonder what we were getting into. You turn off onto a very rough dirt road that could use some serious grading and widening. It's not near wide enough for two campers to pass each other for much of the way!  When we pulled onto the paved campground entrance it was another story. This campground unlike so many other state parks, it was well manned and extremely clean. The bathrooms were fairly new and well kept. I never walked into a shower with a floor full of dirt like often happens at other Michigan State Parks. If it weren't for the entrance that will cover everything in a thick covering of dust this could be one of our new favorite places. We were on lot 68 and all the lots along this side of the camp were fairly unlevel but beautiful.
