I got the chicken banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee. The sandwich was decent but I thought the veggies could’ve been pickled a bit more. The price point is good… and it’s closer to my parents’ house, so I’ll come by again and check out other items on the menu. Other info: There’s a bathroom, but limited seating. Metered parking.
Tried this place for the first time via UberEats, the food came quickly and was fresh. The popcorn chicken was pretty delicious as was the chicken over rice and chicken banh mi. The only thing I wasn't crazy about, was that the chicken was a bit overcooked, quite a few pieces were chewy and stringy.
Their signature hot & spicy noodle soup is one of my favorites things to get! Their spice is completely customizable as are the toppings! You get to choose your favorite type of noodle I always get their glass noodles and two types of protein/toppings for a base price of $9.99! You can also add more toppings for an additional $1-$2 per topping. Their banh mi are pretty standard and stuffed to the brim! Definitely worth trying! Everything is packaged perfectly and always arrives hot! Check out my finsta @chiuventure for a closer look and more details of my dining experience here as well as other establishments in NYC and around the world!
I’ve had this sandwich and it had fish and it was great . I ordered this for delivery and what I got was no fish in my fish sandwich I called the people and the Lady tries to tell me that I ate the fish in the sandwich and that there’s fish in there where do you see fish in here? The bread is dry. Her solution was for me to call Uber and have them refund me the money so not only did she accuse me for this poor excuse of a fish sandwich she put the cherry on top with bad customer service.
This place reminds me of a fast food Chinese restaurant. Only it’s Vietnamese food. Still on my quest to try different bahn mi Vietnamese sandwiches, I ventured to Summer. I got the grilled pork bahn mi and added an egg to it for extra, grilled pork chop over rice, chicken popcorn, or what looks like chicken popcorn, and their summer rolls. Out of all the dishes, the popcorn chicken was the most flavorful. Chicken is tender even though fried and it was juicy. It’s a great snack alone or with rice. The sandwich was mediocre. I felt the baguette was too soft and didn’t provide that crunch, which I like when eating bahn mi. The egg that I added for extra wasn’t runny like I wanted. It was cooked all the way. The grilled pork on the rice tasted like the spare ribs in fast food Chinese restaurants. The sauce that normally comes with that dish was too sweet for me. The summer rolls were mediocre as well. Light but filling. I probably wouldn’t revisit unless it’s for the popcorn chicken. There are other restaurants around the area to try though.
Food is okay and had to wait 10 minutes even after calling in my order. They give a lot of noodles and not a lot of veggies or protein. For the price I would hit up the handpull noodle place on Broadway in Elmhurst.
Good food at decent prices, it's one of those great hole in the walls thats worth a drop in. Food was very freash and hot in temperature, however if you like and want spicy don't go for medium it's not spicy at all. The shrimp and rice dish could have had a little more flavor than just plain rice. However the hicken sandwich was great as were the rolls. My wife and I enjoyed it as a quick lunch here and worth the stop.
Their signature spicy hot noodle soup was delish!! I got it extra spicy with udon, lamb, beef, and fish tofu extra spicy Popcorn chicken were good Chicken wings was ok Def going back for the soup noodle
Did takeout. Was 6 people inside. Literally waited over 30 mins for my food. Only 2 workers entire place. Food was average.Food: 3/5
We had two orders of taiwanese popcorn chicken and french fries. Food was fresh and delicious. The service was good and staff was nice. The place was clean. We enjoyed the food and we definitely will stop by again.
