Great rv park could use more full hookups. People are super nice bathrooms are always clean. I stay there every year. I have a 30ft fifth wheel. There is a dump site down the road a short distance. Bring your portable tank if you stay mare than a couple days. Still a five star

Not just a summer place but an awesome winter wonderland too! Whether you want to pull your camper and winter camp, rent one of five cabins or need a stop over enroute during winter months to your southern/western destination. It's open year round with full hook ups open too. For below freezing temps (32 F and lower), however, make sure you unhook your water hose and use your holding tank of water. Great place for first timers and pros to try winter camping. Pet friendly a plus! Lighthouse decorated for holidays will give you Christmas spirit and is breathtaking in the snow. Peaceful quiet this time of year!

Great family friendly campground! Never had a bad stay here. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The small shop has boat rentals and light camping gear as well. They also sell fire wood and fire starters. There is a little hiking train down to the river from the campground. Relatively easy hike but it's seldom traveled. Not the greatest hike but it's something to do when your bored. They take noise complaints extremely seriously and are not afraid to kick people out if you don't heed their warnings. That makes it great for myself who wants to get a good sleep to get up early to enjoy summersville lake.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it! We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds as we are FT RVers, and this place was one of our favorite. We had a beautiful site (32) which was plenty spacious, great views, and so much space for the dogs and kids to run and play! They have a 1.5 mile easy hike trail to the lake right on property which was so convenient. There is also a Lighthouse on property that you can tour. The staff is so nice and will ensure you have a great time! They were very friendly and super knowledgeable of the area and are helpful in recommending what to see and do. They went out of their way to call us when we were on our way since we were going to come in after they closed, and made sure we knew exactly how to get to our site, gave us gate codes, etc. When we got there, Steve, one of the owners, escorted us to our site and made us feel at home. Great location close to New River Gorge Bridge, don't miss Haws Nest Park, and tons of other national and state parks in the area. Will return! Downside is that there are no laundry facilities and the nearest one was in Summerville about 20 minutes away, and looked shady. We loved this Campground and can't wait to return.

Have a very good time celebrating our anniverisary and brining in the New Year. Cabin is nice and clean, hot tub felt great. so many good places to eat. Can't wait to go back.
