There are tours of the Perkins Mansion, the John Brown House and the property. Learning about the history of this place was amazing. It is awesome to watch the sheep dogs(border collies) work the sheep that stay on the property through the spring and summer.

I took my in-laws to Perkins Mansion when they came for a visit. We really enjoyed the tour and we learned a lot about the history of Akron.

Not open very often. More of a summer museum. Will get more stars when I go back in the spring.

Historical society has decided to destroy a community garden at John Brown Home that has been there for over 10 years to make way for another parking lot.
