This place is long overdue for a self-check out kiosk. For every one patron that is clueless about the library's policies on borrowing, resources, and check out procedures, there are five patrons who just want to grab their books and go. Millburn and Chesapeake,VA have self-check out. It's time for Summit to get one.

Excellent selection and exceptional customer service. However, starting at 3pm (and during exam time) a swarm of children come from school and are very loud in the library study areas. This is very distracting for other library patrons. There are very few private study rooms. The library staff either does not care much or is unable to enforce the rules. Perhaps they need more study rooms or an area that is reserved after school hours for kids to study.

A place to read new books, magazines and newspapers. Very responsive and kind librarians. Good for children. Very quiet. limited parking spaces.

I think the library service is really poor. I checked out a grammar book for my son and he did not touch it. When I returned the book to the circulation desk, the lady said that there were some water stain on the back cover and asked me to pay the full price. I offered to buy a brand new book (which I can buy from a bookstore at a half price) but she declined and insisted I had to pay the full list price. I asked her to show me the policy and she could not show me. I talked to the manager, and in my opinion, both of them are not very nice. I decide to pay the full price anyway, but even if there is such a policy, the policy is unreasonable. I just wanted to give you a heads-up in case you might be in the same situation, or at least check and ensure the books you are to check out from the library are in perfect conditions.
