My family and I have never been to Baker City Oregon, we drove 7+ hours to get here. We were exhausted and hungry. We thought the Sumpter Junction Restaurant looked and sounded like a good place to eat. The waitresses were extremely unprofessional and very rude. They treated us the worst I've ever been treated in my life. The drinks were watered down (undrinkable) and the food was not good in the slightest and way over priced. As we were trying to eat, we could hear the staff behind the counter talking smack on us, glaring and rolling their eyes at us. I almost left in tears I was so embarrassed and disgusted. It was all they could do to hurry us out the door. We will NEVER be going back to this awful place.

They make a great breakfast and have nice decor. They changed up their burgers and they are over the top delicious now! Food always tastes consistent which is also a huge plus and improvement. Staff is super friendly. This is our goto place for takeout breakfast and lunch!

First when we arrived they said that they would have to split my family (have some of us at one table and the others at another away from each other) but then they said that we could sit altogether. And then they pulled tables together in a very disorganized and dirty room. It took us like 15 minutes to get our drinks and orders taken and then we waited a good 40 minutes for our food that tasted and looked like basic school cafeteria food. Not to mention that we never got the appetizer that we ordered. Also a table that arrived 15 minutes after us got their drinks and food before us. And after I finished my meal, I went to the bathroom and waited in a line forever because it was a one person bathroom. So we wasted an hour and a half of our drive home at a crappy restaurant. Overall, I don't recommend wasting your time here. The service was really slow, sometimes you think the waitresses have forgotten about you and the restaurant is filled with a bunch of loud & obnoxious people who drink alcohol 24/7. You will be much happier at the McDonalds down the street. 1/5 stars

Service was slow but friendly selection is minimal but done well. I had the black and blue burger, which as I said before was very good. But it took a little longer then I would've expected.

We went in to eat based on reviews and pics I read and saw here. Waitress was nice, but they have a limited menu of breakfast, burgers and sandwiches. Their larger, dinner menu is at the brewery downtown. We were disappointed so we left. I'm sure the food is probably good but we just wanted more to choose from.
