My promised 6 weeks delivery turned out to be over 3 months. When you call they transfer you to a department that will not answer the phone or return phone calls. The only response you get is when you get angry with the operator and not accept her transferring you to a recording. The actual construction part of the job was a one day job that took over six weeks to complete. The job was completed one hours at a time with about a week between the hours. In between the partial work times many phone calls were made with no response on their part. I made at least twenty phone calls to get this job completed. If you are looking for customer service you need to look elsewhere.

Terrible communications and customer service!  I can't comment on the actual product yet because it is STILL NOT INSTALLED!  Our order was placed and the deposit paid on May 6, with the expectation that the two large,  vertical, electric sun shades would be installed before the summer got fully underway.  They told us the install would be around early to mid June (4 to 6 weeks) and that someone would call us the first week of June. The call never came. By mid June we had heard nothing so we called them.  They apologized and said the install would be the first week July.  No install, no one called us, so we called them.  Now the install was July 14.  They show up early morning July 14, install the blinds but did not hook up any electrical (so obviously they don't work).  The installer said some one would call Monday (17th) to re-schedule the electrical.  No call on Monday!  No call on Tuesday, so I called and complained.  They said July 25 for the electrical.  On the morning of the 25th one guy shows up, gets half way through the job and says he has "tripped a GFI" so there is no power to the blind and wants to come in the house to check all GFI's.  My wife asks him to wear booties (we have white carpet), he refuses, she supplies him the booties and asks him again, he refuses again, and she relents.  One hour later he leaves, saying he is getting some help and will be back later today.  My wife waits around all day but he never comes back.  No one calls us.  Later that night I discover he has left a breaker off - no power to our garage fridge - stuff in the freezer is damaged.  Also no power to the house alarm system and outside lights.  The next day I call, complain, explain the situation, and ask that their manager call me back.  The receptionist tells me the manager and the scheduler will get back that morning (now the 25th).   Nothing!  No calls.  26th goes by - still nothing.  So I'm writing this today (July 27).  I have still heard nothing from them.  No reschedule, no manager, no electrical.  The power is still off to a section of the garage, fridge and outside lights.  We still don't have working blinds. The company appears un-organized, un-responsive and un-professional. My advice: there are others in the Valley who supply similar products, do yourself a favor and buy from them. Save yourself the heart ache of dealing with Sun City Awnings.

We put our deposit down on January 30th for a small awning, after that all communication was one way (us to them).  Today is April 5th and they are supposed to finish the job today, one day short of two weeks since they started.  The guys DOING the work were great, polite, good clean up and professional.  The rest of the company could learn some customer service skills from the workers!  Five stars for the installation crews!
