In response to Diane Freeman's post. The fare was $15.00. The driver was not a stand in, but a new driver hired that day. He would have no reason to make up a number like $25.00 for a charge, as he was still inexperienced. She was charged $15, she tipped $10. If she was so dissatisfied with the car and the driver, why tip at all? Yes, the car was not our best vehicle. Even our best vehicle has dents and scratches. So does every taxi in town. After 20 years in the business I know enough to tell you that you can put a brand new car on the road and in less than 2 months it will have dents and scratches when used as a taxi. It will probably have stains inside you don't even want to think about. We do our best to keep our cars up. The previous driver of that car failed and for that I apologize. If I would have known how bad it really was, I would have sent a different vehicle. I sent what was, at the time, a decent taxi. It got her to the airport on time and she even tipped. She decided to complain after an entire week had gone by. She also does not mention she threatened the owner of the company over the phone. Trashing us on a website is her way of doing so. We can do the same to her if we so choose. Just remember folks, there are two sides to every story. She obviously took a week to make some of hers up. Sounds like sour grapes to me. By the way, that car is cleaned up to the best of our ability. If anyone else has a problem, call me and RATIONALLY explain it, and we will try to rectify it. We do our best to get our customers from their location to their destination, and in her case we did just that. She is welcome to take UBER or any other company, but judging by her state of mind, she will probably find something to complain about with them also. (Also, UBER would have probably charged her $25 for that trip without a tip).

I could have used a l/2 star rating here. First, I am new to Flagstaff being here just a year and I am dismayed and disappointed at the lack of good customer service, work ethic and reliable service personnel and it starts with just showing up and calling. Sun Taxi showed up but in the worst taxi I have ever seen. It looks like they bought it from a junk yard. Dents all over it and a spare tire on one of the wheels to boot. The inside smelled like smoke that is how old the car is because most taxis do not allow smoking in their vehicles anymore. I was embarrassed to be riding in it quite frankly and I am not snooty. I told the driver that I had never been inn such a clunker and it was so bad they should just drive it off a cliff and call it a day. Then the driver who was a stand in driver for the day he said, charged me $25 to ride 8 minutes to the airport. I had called the company to hire them and they told me it would be 'around "10 bucks" . I duly noted the overcharge and rather than argue, I even tipped the guy because he was on time and friendly, but OMG, what a nasty vehicle and then to overcharge me. I called the owner upon returning from my trip. He was argumentative, talked over me and wouldn't allow me to say my peace, and treated me as a liar. I told him the condition of the vehicle was terrible with a thousand dents and he says "all taxis have dents". His attitude was terrible. So much for the customer is always right. He was not a good business man. No apologies. No remedy. Then he calls me back to say he checked the meter and I was charged $14.90 and I gave them a healthy $10.00 tip and he was yelling at me not letting me speak. At least he got the tip right. What he was not told by his driver is that the driver upon arriving at the airport when I asked what the charge was because there was no meter running indicating the price turns around in the seat and says, "I did not even run the meter but it is $25.00." I take people at their word and had a plane to catch and paid him but knowing the company had told me around $10 it bothered me and I felt he took advantage of me as a nice person. I am a person of high integrity and do not just call companies without a good reason but I wanted them to know one of their drivers overcharged me and did not use the meter. The owner was not a gentlemen, not apologetic, was actually RUDE so he had no interest in keeping a customer, and made excuses all over the place. To me it was the principle of the thing not the approximate $15 overcharge. There is no excuse for lying to people and stealing which is what overcharging is. I still believe in some basic rules of behavior for all men. Do not lie, cheat or steal, murder, covet what is someone else's home, wife, car, and honor your MOM and DAD, etc. We all use to know these "rules" but it seems some just don't care anymore. So shame on Sun Taxi. You lost a customer for life and no referrals are coming your way from this girl. He is why people all over are choosing Uber.

Never been a customer.Driver tailgated me when I was going 5 miles over speed limit.I got into a turn lane and he flipped me off.What a sleaze.
