Beautiful setting, lovely place. The quintessential Canadian cottage experience on steroids. So many interesting antiques and artifacts, incredible views, amazing breakfasts and being in the canoe on such a peaceful body of water made this a forever memory.

Attended the Hike Halliburton festival and found the host Sally to be extremely rude. I was with my husband and very well behaved two year old. She told me in front of all the other guest/hikers, that I would have to keep my son on a leash and I had to hold him the whole time. ????? Are you kidding me, it's a hike, kids are going to run around and explore. She just was nasty and a obviously hated kids. Not going to return ever again.

Last resort when the Dominion Hotel in Minden (see my review there) totally screwed us. Out of our price range for what we had budgeted, but we had no choice. Excellent facility, friendly, helpful, understanding, everything we needed when our nerves were frazzled. Highly recommended. Hope that one day we can afford to return for a longer stay. Tell Sally, when you make your 2 night reservation, that Dave & Monica Bailey sent you.
