Breakfast comfort foods. My husband enjoyed the cinnamon roll french toast.  I chose the Pick Three- waffle, ham steak, and scone.  The place is extremely busy and may fair better with one additional server.  Not certain if they were short staffed during our visit.  

I enjoyed sitting at the high top counter.  Gave me the feel of old-time diners.

In the past we ate at the Sunrise Cafe in downtown Meridian but now that we moved to a different part of town we didn't want to deal with traffic and make the trip across town. It's great to have the Sunrise Cafe on Overland Road. We like the fact that we can order breakfast any time during the day. Always good food, friendly Staff, and reasonable prices.

Been here twice after noticing it. Great food great service. Both times visiting had new employees and it was super painless. Food was actually good and edible. And decent prices for the amount of food you get. Also very clean and cheery!

Any place you can get biscuit's and gravy for breakfast wins  an extra star. Good food and decent pricing for the price/portion ratio. Corned beef hash? Check. Ruben? check. Chicken fried steak? Check. Steak and eggs? Check. 

I'll update when I've had some dinner items, but so far a winner for breakfast.

I don't know what's happened with their cooks but they started out strong but have progressively gotten worse over time.

Each new visit the food get more and more under cooked. Started with eggs. Then hash browns. Ended up where I was sending bleeding cold red hamburger back to the kitchen.

Just seems careless because I visit when it's almost never busy so I can't think of a valid reason for each visit for something to be wrong.

Owners if you read these; you need to investigate if you need to replace the kitchen staff before these guys ruin this joints reputation with those who give it credit at first.

Will be giving this place one more try; after that I will be either going else where or to their other locations.

If you are a fan of the other Sunshine Cafe's you'll enjoy this one too.

The wood interior is very beautiful. Awesome fireplace. Lots of seating, especially when the second section opens up.

Great menu choices with average prices. The food portions are fulfilling. Quality of food is excellent. 

Staff are engaging and friendly with quick service.

One of my new 'go to' spots in the Boise Bench area.
