When we lost our precious girl, Jayden, a few weeks ago, we called Sunset Pet Services and spoke with Martin.  When we pulled up to the building, he brought a cart out and offered to help place Jayden on it.  After entering the building, he offered us water and asked us a little about Jayden.  He was very kind and sympathetic and we would definitely recommend Sunset Pet Services.

I was at a Pet Expo near Dulles a few months back and happened to pick up a brochure for Sunset Pet Services. Then, in the midst of my overwhelming grief while cradling my beloved 20-year-old kitty who had been in my life all but the first 6 weeks of those 20 years, I found them again when searching for a place in the NOVA region that does individual cremations on-site. 

Having worked in the veterinary field previously, I knew that "individual" is not always truly individual especially when using a service that is not on site (not to say that all off-site services do not follow through on their claims, but the couple I was aware of were not as careful and organized as I would want them to be to ensure proper tracking), so the family-owned on-site service was my primary decision factor. I was further reassured when Robin was so kind and accommodating in person, allowing me all the time I needed to say goodbye and comforting me with kind words as I sobbed. She was very helpful when advising me on picking out an urn, and has the wise advice of someone that clearly cares about the service they provide. Even though I didn't need it, they were quick to offer up the off-hours availability should that have been more convenient for me. 

I trusted Sunset Pet Services to respectfully and carefully take care of my beloved Jake, and as much as I don't want to think about needing their services in the future, I will not hesitate to do so again and/or recommend them to others in similar heartbreaking situations.

Losing a pet like the one I lost was devastating to my family, this company really helped us when it came to having to say good bye. When my dog passed away less then two days ago we called like an hour after he passed and they insured us over the phone that the would respect our pet and they did. We pulled up and the lady at the front came out with a table drapped in a clean white sheet to help us bring him in. They gave us as much time as we needed to say good by and explained exactly how everything happens. The lady at the front even helped us make a Christmas ornament of our dogs paw print before we left. She was extremely simpethetic and answered every question we had. We ordered our pet a custom ern and she even explained how when it comes in she would help us transfer our beloved pet from the temp one to his. They have erns their but we wanted to customize our pets since he gave us the best years of my life. I wish I would never lose another pet but fact is when we get them we already no we will out live them and with that being said I will forever use this company because of the respect they showed my family and the care they gave my loving pet. To the lady at the front desk that works there and took care of chase I hope you no you helped us out extremely well. I wish I could do more than say thank you. Because of you I will always recommend you to everyone who I hope never needs you but I no eventually will.
