Perfect size. Accessible faculty. Caring student services staff. Currently renovating a number of buildings that will be beautiful and state of the art in 2018.

This school is terrible only if you decide to dorm. Some teachers will be great, while others will give you a hard time. It's only a community college in which I believe teachers shouldn't have higher expectations than a University. I suggest using "Rate My Professor". The dorms are where I had the most issues with lack of cooperation with resident staff. Fire alarms would go off for them only too check your room sometimes early in the morning the day before class. This is completely unnecessary, as I should see it as we civilians have the right too our privacy. The food is intolerable after one semester, because options are very limited and quality. The only plus is some of the good people you meet, and the degree itself. If I were to go back and choose, I would commute but if you decide "well hey I would like to dorm and experience the college environment", I'd say go to a different community college in New York that'll provide you a better experience. There are many other options that have the option too dorm. I hope this helps, and good luck with your future academics.

Suny Adirondack, one of the worst experiences of my life honestly. The dorms are mostly the reason for the cause of trouble on campus. Don't get me wrong ,the staff are great (most), but for the other 80% of the campus, I would say avoid. If you can afford to go somewhere else do so. We could not really do anything without being told no, or being questioned on where we were going or what we were doing. Public Safety constant;y was in your business or inviting themselves into rooms to room check. Also not to mention tension built between students would lead to violent crimes on campus. Vandalism here is an all time high, and there is corruption in the student body as well as officers on campus. A note to take as well is, that almost anybody can get into this college, and with dorms comes mixing NYC kids with Upstate country kids, does not go well. This really was not a good place to be. My friend almost died in the lobby (while choking on his vomit officers put him on his back?!). Amazed me of how untrained they are to deal with an OD situation, because some spiked my friends what ever that night. I made a few good friends, but refuse to go visit due to public safety honestly. They give me the hardest time trying to go knock on my friends dorms to see if they were home. It was like high school mixed with a prison here. Also the cops are right in the dorms, hope you sleep well if you go here. Probably not though because how loud everyone had there music. This college was not a college and never will be. P.S. I'm sorry to my past professors whom see this, this had nothing against the program I was in. Honestly this is a good school for Adventure Education though being located right under the Adirondacks, just don't get mixed up in the riff raft of the under belly of the school.

This is a great campus with that genuine "college atmosphere" but likely without the ticket price of other places.
