We checked in and were given a nice room with 2 queen beds. We are traveling with pets and when we informed them shortly after our arrival they switched our room. It wasn't an inconvenience since we had only just arrived shortly before. They got us in a bigger room with a king sized bed and a queen sized bed and hard wood floors. Both rooms were clean and wonderfully decorated and taken care of. It didn't have that "mildewy" or smoky smell. Very clean and refreshing. Not a long drive into Chattanooga or to Rock City. Continental breakfast included muffins, toast, oatmeal, a waffle making station, juice and coffee, cereal and fresh fruit. It was a great overnight stay!

I was in town to visit my sons for a couple days and I had booked a room for two days at the Super 8 in Ft. Oglethorpe. There was a minor mix up on my reservation (Not the motels fault, it was from the booking site I had used), and the receptionist, Jami D, not only sorted out the problem, but graciously upgraded my room at no extra charge! The room was impeccably clean and spacious, and actually very quiet (Unlike many other motels I have stayed at in the past, where you would swear someone was running a 3 ring circus in the next room!). Had a very enjoyable stay at the motel, but other than the great room, would like to commend the staff, namely Jami D, for her professionalism, her dedication (Saw that she had worked for Wyndam for 11 yrs embroider on her shirt), and outright friendliness that she displayed during my stay there. Excellent job!

I'm giving this review a 3 star, not because there was anything wrong with it, but because we stayed only 1 night, so that wasn't really enough time to really judge it. The location is weird, it's on top of a hill and when you turn in you have to really make sure there's no traffic coming because it's not in a location where you can turn out in front of people and be out of the way, there's a large bump in the driveway, so you have to take the turn in slowly, unless you want your front end coming out, same with the exit, gotta go slowly. The motel is in Fort Oglethorpe, so naturally, from the one night we were there, the town around it seemed very confederate: confederate flags everywhere. The lady at the front was a peach, (I believe her name was Janie?) She checked us in quickly and was very polite, I went down to the lobby later that day and asked for tea, she gave me some of her "secret stash", it was really good, we bonded. While checking in I made a point of double checking that I put non-smoking, she confirmed this. but upon entering the room, I immediately smelled smoke, not strong, but faintly, we could have just been close to a smoking room since there was a no smoking sign on top of the fridge. The room had a fridge and a microwave, a coffee pot which I was eager to use, but upon inspection I noticed that the carafe itself was very unclean (pic included) the bed was huge and it was pretty comfy (for a hotel bed) Our neighbor was kinda rude, he just gave us rude looks every time we saw him. There was/is a grey cat hanging around there, poor thing is super skinny and has a messed up eye, we went to the closest Dollar General (which is a MARKET?? they sell fresh fruit and stuff and it's huge!) to get him a few cans of cat food, he ate it up. You'd think someone that worked there would have noticed this poor thing by now and called Animal Control, we did this, of course AC didn't answer. All in all this was a pretty good place for the price. It's normally like, $60 something? But I got it cheaper through my work. We will go back the next time we're going to Tennessee. Edit: forgot to mention breakfast. It was okay. A waffle maker, 2 types of cereal, apples, 1 yogurt left, bread and a toaster, apple and orange juice, and I think that's about it. Like I said, it was okay. The best part is, it was past 10 am, which is when breakfast ends, and Janie (?) let us finish, she didn't rush us or start cleaning up like most people would do.

In a good location in Fort Oglethorpe. Has many restaurants and stores in walking distance. The pool was not open during my stay however. Rooms are pretty good. I have seen a lot worse. Has a refrigerator and microwave. Has a flat screen TV and many channels including hbo. They also serve free breakfast.

Oh my this hotel is weird. The lady at the front desk was very nice and sweet. The lobby was clean the rooms were somewhat clean. There was a nice breakfast in the morning between 6:30a and 10:00a. All those things were just fine ok. The bad side is there was hair in my bed. Second bad thing was the water bug that was crawling up the wall, we killed it. I was so scared to go to sleep through the night I was constantly checking to see if there was another. I was so happy that it was only one in the room. I told the front desk attendant she told me they spray often and she was sorry I had that problem. We'll I would never stay there again. I'm not recommending anyone to stay there.
