Super 8 Houghton is located right on the Waterfront. Boat Docks are located directly in front of hotel with fishing piers and grills for outdoor cooking. The Summer Gardens are spectacular. Mich Tech Univ is within walking distance and Finlandia Univ is 2 mi away in Hancock. Pool, Sauna and Whirlpool. Free High Speed Wireless Internet. In winter you may snowmobile from the property. Fall color in the Keweenaw Peninsula is just spectacular. A must see.

Stay many times and found it to be a decent place for a couple of nights, but not likely any longer.  Comfortable enough.  Clean enough. Staff is competent but not overly friendly.  Price is fair for the area.  GET A LAKE VIEW ROOM even though it's a few dollars more as the parking lot side subjects you to obnoxiously BRIGHT lights all night and in the winter the snow makes it near intolerable.

Great place, very scenic. Deck outside so you can observe all the boats passing by. We use Wyndham rewards and book before we get there. Guaranteed a parking lot room. Staff said they are not allowed to change your room. Seems to be an obvious trend with this program...always the furthest to walk wherever you book. Anyhow, this was clean and offered a good breakfast in the morning. Internet service was good.

Nice pool/sauna/Jacuzzi, nice room.  Great location right on the water!  Mediocre breakfast.  Overall great value!

Excellent service, clean, great location! Friendly and helpful staff who made awsome suggestions for sites to see. On the water was a treat! Excellent breakfast and nice pool. Will highly recommend to friends👍

What a wonderful place to stay really good breakfast and has a pool a hot tub and a sauna. This place is perfect for kids and quick stays the rooms are clean and up to date and the beds are soft not as firm this place is the place to go for a low price. 😀
