There are two nice things to say about this motel. 1) is a half mile walk to the historic district. 2) A cool old train passes next to it. There's a hotel on the other side of the tracks, do yourself a favor and just stay there instead. (Our bathroom doorknob had a condom wrapped around where it goes into the door to keep it from jiggling. What more do you need to know?)

The room we had was updated, but still old furniture. Hotel is definitely aged, but trying to renovate. I like the fact that they had vinyl faux wood flooring in the room instead of carpeting. We didn't have any towels or a shower curtain in our room, but they quickly took care of that. You can't expect much from a Super 8. I realize I'm not going to stay in a 5 star hotel, for a Super 8 though I was happy

I would rate this higher but there were a few problems...stayed from Friday June 9 to Monday June 11...sheets and pillowcases were never changed...asked for extra towels and shampoo,since there were two adults,and didn't get them,spring poking out of mattress at foot end ( easily noticeable when changing sheets),no room card with numbers or menus or tv stations,and only one chair in room. Now the hotel was full but we didn't ask for another chair until Sunday night when the car guys and concert goers were gone,we were told rudely on the phone by the front desk "we don't have extra chairs" we just wanted one chair for one night,maybe from across the hall from one of the empty rooms ? All that being said...I would stay here again because it is less expensive ( maybe explains the issues) and the area around this hotel is absolutely gorgeous !!! I don't think these issues should be a severe deterrent but I can't rate the spot any higher .

First day of staying, everything was great. Although I'm also a housekeeper at another hotel, everything is just difficult than what I'm use to. I come from out of town, North Carolina to he exact and if I ever have to come back to Kingston, I'll stop by at Super 8 and stay a night or two. Housekeeper did a wonderful job at preparing the room too.

Room was nice but not cleaned properly. Lots of paint chips around door opening to room. Also, if you're going to run a free complimentary breakfast, at least run it during "breakfast hours". Clipping it at 9am isn't very complimentary or accomidating!
