I’ve been vegan for 4 years, and I’m always looking to support local restaurants, but I feel a duty to advise others to proceed with caution. I was quite disappointed with the “deluxe” grilled cheese and the pesto sandwiches I ordered photo is from after half the sandwich was eaten. It’s possible the non-sandwich items are better. Most menu items seemed over-priced. I’m happy to pay more if the food is delicious but this unfortunately missed the mark.
Fast friendly service & delicious healthy food & huge portions. Loved the mushroom burger with onions, cashew cheese & aoli. Fries are awesome! Burrito is so huge 2 people can share.
It's a healthy and environmentally aware place. What is great about it is that it sells local artists works. The best meal ordered was the mushroom quesadilla. I ordered the kimchi quesadilla, but kimchi was vegan and for me the flavours did not meld as well. If you can tolerate raw, the falafel is edible. The grilled cheese deluxe was ok.
Superfresh is such a unique space in Brattleboro! It's quite cozy and inviting, the decor is warm and soothing, and the food is fantastic! It's rare to find such a gem offering organic non-gmo and plant-based foods all in one place; it's definitely unique to the immediate and surrounding areas. My favorites include the hash browns and baked hot cakes for weekend brunch, the macro bowl, and the baked burrito. And of course their freshly pressed juices are nothing short of amazing as well. Definitely check this place out if you're even kind of sort of close to the area! :
Absolutely loved the fact that they are a full vegetarian restaurant. I have yet to encounter a place to do this! Definitely gave off a “hippie” vibe. The mushroom burger on onion bread was absolutely delicious. The tomato vegetable soup was gross- no flavor at all I literally thought I was served old dish water. The Pad Thai dish was okay and definitely expecting more flavor out of this dish. Service was extremely slow and the system of service ie where and when to pay a bit confusing. The decor was great ! Loved the fact they were selling local art work and had great music taste.
I consider myself to be a vegan food connoisseur and have eaten at vegan spots all across the US and beyond. Superfresh remains in the top 3 for me. 100% organic / non gmo !!!, gluten free, soy free, and inventive. I find tofu and fake meat products to be soooo boring and so THANK YOU Superfresh for keeping that off of your menu!!! Anytime we are in the SoVT area we come in for the immunity juice, artichoke dip, pizza, hot cakes, and the breakfast bowl with the sun seed scramble. My man also LOVES the chipotle aioli, kimchi, and their fresh baked bread as at at home snack so we are always sure to get that to carry out. They also have a variety of cookies, cupcakes, and desserts that are . We cannot recommend this place enough. So happy to see their dining room is open again! See you next time we are in town!!
Stopped in for a meal and this place exceeded expectations! It has a very "Vermont" feel to it. All vegan too, so if that's your thing then please do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. I ordered the large chickpea plate with creamy herb dressing and raw cashew cheeze. Comes with two chickpea frittatas and home fries over a bountiful bed of lemon-dressed kale, garnished with shredded carrots, spirallized yellow squash, and sunflower sprouts. Seriously wonderful - the perfect combination of filling, nourishing, and comforting. Just what I needed this evening. Also, they sell individual slices of their pizza if you want to try without buying a whole pie. The crust is thin and looked gluten-free, though I didn't ask what the ingredients were. Definitely want to come back for pizza. Considered buying a slice of the house-made cheezecake, but opted for a lion's mane 60% chocolate bar made in NY instead, which the server said was "really good." Haven't tasted it yet but will update this review when I do. Thank you for serving the community of Brattleboro, what a delight! Vegetarian options: All vegan which automatically means everything is vegetarian. : Parking: It's downtown so parking is not great. Dietary restrictions: All vegan, most seems to be GF as well.
This morning we stopped there for a $70!!! breakfast for two. The cafe was busy but we waited almost 50 minutes for our food. There was one person making food, he was working steadily but the other workers were not helping. No one ever acknowledged us or apologized for the wait even during the twenty minutes we were the only people left in the shop. The workers instead loudly complained about other customers and joked about burning the shop down for insurance money. The food when it finally came was mediocre and not fresh tasting. We enjoyed our green juice and empress coffee. The cold brew was very weak.
Absolutely delicious vegan takes on comfort food that leaves you feeling happy and healthy. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere, and great aesthetic. If you're in the Brattleboro area, give this place a try!
WoW !!! Instant ordering via phone ! Super nice and efficient person who took my order !! Very busy in the cafe’ when I was picking up my food, but she and her coworkers were incredibly friendly and helpful!! The soup I had was a home made lentil stew and it was the most delicious, a wonderful treat. Small salad but comparatively a big salad bigger than average really with tons of actually ripe tomatoes, onions cucumbers and spinach also sunflower seeds!! Everything was just so great !! A really enjoyable experience all around!!!
