Me and my daughter are big fans - a visit here makes for a pefect mama and daughter treat! My toddler likes the chocolate with sprinkles or strawberry sorbet. She is also looking forward to trying the mango sorbet and the birthday cake. I enjoy the sorbets and am obsessed with the Salted Honey in a sugar cone! The vanilla is a great classic too! I am looking forward to picking up a pint of the Salted Honey in the near future. The steak sandwich with their flavored lemonade rosemary or strawberry etc depending on the day is so happy making! The staff and owners have all been welcoming and helpful! Glad for the addition of this sweet business!

We discovered the shop while shopping downtown, and had to stop to try their ice cream. How can you not stop to try fresh made ice cream? My husband instantly noticed their menu had food and of course we had to try something. The parmesan French fries and aioli blew our minds! So much so that we had to come back for dinner and try their food. I cannot explain in words how amazing their food is. In each bite you can taste how much they care about what they are serving. My husband had the steak sandwich, I ordered the rice and bean bowl. Both were so good we ending up sharing our meals. Best place we ate on our entire trip! We went back three times total during our trip, and my only regret was not discovering it sooner. Truly a hidden gem!

Worth the 10 minute wait in line for the dairy free  lemon sorbet. Hubby had the peanut butter chip in a waffle cone that he would give a 5 star as well. Friendly staff, clean establishment, got ice cream to go, so not reviewing dining in or other menu items.  Dietary restrictions: Delicious Lemon  Sorbet is dairy free and delicious!

YUM! Generous portions & amazing, smooth sweet icecream! I had mint cookie crumble- so refreshing- & the Honeybee which was incredible& hands down the winner. My kids loved their birthday cake icecream & rootbeer floats.  My inlaws loved their sundaes! Great quaint patio & clean restaurant.

Wow... Always love visiting Grand Marais but the addition of Superior Creamery just put the cherry on top!! The flavors are truly amazing!! Our group of three tried the Dutch Chocolate, Superior Vanilla and the Lavender and each was amazing!!  Rich, complex flavors without that don't need a bunch of extras to makes them some. It's just like churning it yourself if you only knew the recipe!! Even though we stopped in just before they closed, we were not hurried and they still asked about our day also plans for the next.  Great place and look forward to making it a regular stop whenever we are in the area!! Thanks for the great addition.

It’s really nice to have an ice cream shop like this in Grand Marais. The flavors do not disappoint. I had strawberry sorbet and wild berry sorbet. My spouse had vanilla, Dutch chocolate, and coffee chocolate chip. We cannot  wait to return! I hear that their regular food is good too. Next time!

Great authentic ice cream. Chocolate is rich. Vanilla tastes like real vanilla. Very clean place and well maintained.

This place should change its name to Superior Creamery and kick @$$ cafe! We had no dinner options because of two hour waits everywhere, and we decided to get ice cream here instead, but we discovered not only do that have ice cream  but also REALLY good food. We had steak sandwiches, chicken wild rice soup, and a rice and veggie bowl and all of them were phenomenal! I can only imagine people weren’t lining up here because it’s cold and they thought they only serve ice cream. You need to eat here!

Superior was truly superior. Actually, it was so good we came back the next day to enjoy the ice cream. We tried a number of flavors, including maple walnut, coffee chip, and orange cranberry. All amazing. We plan on stopping in again next time we are up from the twin cities. Thank and keep it up guys!Food: 5/5

0 stars.  After complaining about my 2.5 year old touching the glass to look,  only allowing one flavor tast because of times when there is a line but there wasn’t one.  The one scoop is so small and the ice cream is not anything to brag about.  Do not go here if you have kids or want a have a relaxing, fun ice cream experience.  To many rules. My suggestion is if your going to say your an ice cream place have a better system set up so you can accommodate a friendly environment for all or make your store high end because you act like it but you most definitely are not.
