They've been my go to on door dash for over a year and we finally got to go sit down at the restaurant and it was amazing. Beautiful place, top notch service and great prices. El Paso simpley does not have amazing places like this anymore.Food: 5/5
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not sure what happened to this place, but the customer service was absolutely abhorrent. We walked in, group of 3 adults and 3 small kids, to be seated. While yes, it was our fault for not initially reading the sign, the woman working there 1 did not offer any greeting, simply said "read the sign" 2 was very rude with the tone she spoke to myself and friend. Said sign stated parties of 6 or more must make a reservation beforehand as they are short staffed. When asked how long it would be for a reservation, she said 1 hour! This place was emptier than the smallest cemetery! There were only 2 other customers being served, but the kicker was being told she could serve us if we were seated separately, not at the one large "table", 3 small tables pushed together. I don't know how that logically works to lessen the workload on this establishment or her when trying to serve us. My party walked out as just that initial encounter was enough to leave us dumbfounded at her behavior towards potential customers. So to management, I sincerely believe your goal is to run down what used to be such a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful environment to eat in, even while under remodel, so as to not serve people. Wrong profession to be in if that is the intention to treat anyone who may come to your establishment. Also food for thought, did you think maybe you are short staffed due to your appalling behavior towards others?
I’ll preface this by saying this is one of the best sushi places in El Paso in terms of taste and price, by El Paso standards this beats 99% of the places we’ve been to here. So if you want something not as good as authentic Japanese sushi this comes close, the cons: it is a family restaurant as such the waitress seems to be the Mamasan, the elderly lady who is most likely the grandmother in age, she is very kind but should not be carrying around heavy plates at her age in my opinion, to me she is a liability to the restaurant, not only in time and money but in terms of safety to herself and the public. This is exactly what I see in the reviews for this restaurant, they aren’t able to attend to too many people and the wait times are longer than usual, not to mention our concern for the mamasan to be able to bring our order. Anyways my conclusion is the sushi is top notch in comparison to everything else here in El Paso, the price was very reasonable but be ready for long wait times until the restaurant ever decides to hire someone to help.
We are so happy we found this spot! It is a hidden gem for a sushi lover and the lunch special cannot be beat! We were not aware of the reservations needed but thankfully they were able to accommodate us! For vegan options we were very pleased and the decor and privacy of the booth made it very intimate. We enjoyed our customer service and look forward to supporting this local business as our new sushi spot! The tofu steak, tofu stir fry, veggie roll, veggie tempura, and edamame was delicious! You cannot beat 3 items for $11.95!!
This is the BEST sushi I’ve ever had in el paso. I always recommend it to everyone I meet, it’s affordable and it’s delicious. The employees are always so kind and generous. Just be wary they don’t have any restrooms available for use.Food: 5/5
This was an amazing sushi place. My cousin brought us here because it is her favorite spot to eat and it did not disappoint. The service was great, our server was quick to take our orders and food arrived within a reasonable timeline. She even chatted a little with us and her friendliness made the experience even more enjoyable. The sushi was delicious. The fish tasted fresh and the presentation was gorgeous. Within a group of four, I think we ended up eating about six rolls and a side of bulgogi. It was so good I almost forgot to take pictures! All in all, this is an amazing place to eat. The environment is friendly and welcoming and the food is to die for. We would definitely come again.
The owner is so sweet. The sushi was delish! Chicken hibachi was very flavorful. Love love the cucumber salad! We're back in 2023. Had the Vegas roll this time in addition to my regular favorites and it's SO GOOD! Owner is still sweet and helpful! Love the eel sauce!!!!
My mother and I have been coming to this restaurant for about 9yrs now not sure what happened after Covid but the food still amazing. Unfortunately we were a group of 5 but got a call last minute and only 4 attended. The younger lady which who helps ring up the cashier and helps the chief. Yelled right accord the restaurant in front of all the customers dining. Saying omg always a change always and then said next time you call before you show up to tell us about change. We also noticed she yelled at an older woman believing it was her mother in front of everyone and we feel like she may need a break from work at one point we saw she yelled at the sushi chef to hurry up because I assume she was falling behind on her dishes. My apologies I understand but there was no need to make a scene in front of others she could have walked up to us and said it Privately. We are still going to continue coming as it’s one of our favorite places to eat. But wish they also would hire more so they weren’t so short staffed. Not just that we want to send a big thanks to the chief for such delicious sushi.
We ordered through DoorDash and the food presentation and quality was just as good as dining in. They wrote a personalized message and even threw in some candy. Way to take care of even your Togo guests
I ordered on DoorDash and I got my food really fast. I was pretty happy with the quality of the food and the messages on my packages . I got the lunch special and a lot of extra stuff. I will eat here again.
