Cool place to go for a drink & a bite to eat.  More of a bar type atphomere, better food than a normal bar. Not all fried food, can get a good meal.  Causal.  Always short staffed it seems.  So if you not in a hurry STOP by you'll have a good time.

West Newton's iconic eatery since 1931, Sweeney's Steakhouse offers generous portions at reasonable prices.  Never got my side salad, but couldn't finish my prime rib + baked potato

My mom and I went today for lunch, and the food was great!  I was surprised at how generous the portion sizes were, as well.  Reasonably priced.  I'll definitely go back!

Better than average for a Mon Valley bar. Ample seating, affordable drinks, big screen tvs, pool tables, and darts. Occasional dj on weekends. BUT they allow smoking, so expect to head home stinking like an ashtray.
