I first found Sweetie Bear through word of mouth 3 years ago, and I've been coming very often ever since then. The selection of East Asian confectionary, snacks, drinks, and even groceries they have can't be beat! Highly recommend any Meiji chocolates and the BOSS canned coffees-- you can't find those anywhere else in the area, I assure you.  The staff has always been a pleasure to shop with, as well-- it's always a pleasure to have a little bit of a chat with Ryan. Give these guys your business and support!

So glad I found this place! The inventory at the usual store where I get Asian snacks has been getting worse and worse so I decided to look for a new one and found this one. The selection at Sweetie Bear is amazing! They have the typical popular brands, like Calbee, but some other snacks that I can't find at my local grocery store. Most importantly, they have a decent selection of Boss drinks. I ended up ordering quite a big haul and was surprised it was delivered so soon! What impressed me the most was the good communication to ensure the package got delivered. Very much appreciated:  One of my favourites so far are the Marukin Hokkiado Milky Cakes the pastries in the blue bag at the bottom left corner. Perfectly buttery and sweet. They also stock some rarer Pocky flavours I've been looking for, like mint chocolate. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. Ordered a delivery of like 10 different Japanese and Korean chips after hearing about them on a podcast at like 3:30 AM on Sunday and they were delivered by 6 PM the same day.  Seriously impressive customer service, maybe the best I’ve seen. They kept me updated every step of the way and the order was packaged with care.  I don’t normally write reviews, who got time for that, but the experience made me feel like I must spread the word

I found lots of interesting and yummy snacks here, stuff I had only found at pop culture conversation before. The staff have lots of information they are happy to share as most stuff has little to no English writing on it. Delicious.

I've visited this store many times.. very clean, tidy and the staff are very nice. It has a wide selection of japanese snacks and instant foods that you can't get anywhere else in Durham. I used to have to travel to Toronto for this stuff but now I have access much closer to where I live.  And they also do delivery all the way to Bowmanville! Excellent delivery, by the way! The driver communicates to me in a timely manner.  Only other thing I can offer as feedback would be to offer even more variety of items!

This place is amazing, I just went there for the first time ever and the workers were amazing I ordered online for curb side pickup and they were amazing with the service, I have already recommended this place to all my friends and they all wanna take a trip to buy stuff, thank you for being such an amazing store I will 10000% be back!

Excellent little store that has a wide variety of Japanese snacks and drinks! I absolutely love their milk tea drink and their lemon flavoured coke. The employees are super friendly too. This is a great place to find a large assortment of cool, tasty, quirky snacks and drinks. Highly recommend!

Just received my package from this awesome store! I  put in an order the night before and not even 24 hours later I received a text from someone stating if they could deliver my package in the evening! So fast, and efficient with packaging and super kind! This was my first order from Sweetie Bear and I can't wait to visit the store and see all the goodies they have to offer and meet the amazing staff!
