Growing up next to this park has been a pleasure. The people hiking and biking are generally nice. The rangers are all really cool, and I know a few of them personally. I've done camps and volunteered for other activities held by the rangers, and some of those have been the most fun times I've ever had. It's a beautiful park with a lot of wildlife, and I would recommend going on dirt paths and taking the longest routes possible when hiking. P.S. the parking is expensive, so I would just park in a cutout in the surrounding neighborhood if you don't plan on being in the park too long. You can also park at independent park right around the block for free.

Great place for a long hike or a decent distance bicycle ride with kids. Only one 'climb' back in one corner of the big loop, but otherwise very flat. Ranger past us three times on his mountain bike and made chit chat each time. A number of bird watchers there so maybe a good place for that. This last time we went in early December, a lot of people doing their family photos for Xmas cards. So maybe a good place for that too.

City of Livermore charges $7 to park here! Ridiculous! Small park with mostly flat hiking. Trails max out at 3mi one way. Abundant wild life here, saw a river otter on the trail our last visit.

Limited facilities. Bathrooms at either end of the trail. No maps, they tell you to use your phone! 

Trails are mixed use, hikers, bikers and horses.

Great place to enjoy the scenery while you walk on pretty level pathways. Good place for a nice hike/walk. Good for all ages.

Great wildlife park right on the edge of town, always a pleasure to visit. It has easy quick access and lots of family friendly trails.
