Comprehensive Physical Therapy Care
Our mission is to combine the education, clinical experience and expertise of a doctor of veterinary medicine and a doctor of physical therapy to offer the highest level of rehabilitation services.
Your pet’s current condition, medical history, lifestyle, nutrition and medications are all discussed prior to completing a functional and mobility evaluation. We offer comprehensive and individualized rehabilitative care to restore, maintain or enhance your pet’s physical ability at any age. Whether your companion has had an injury, surgery or chronic disability, our goal is to provide a guided, safe return to fun and function using state-of-the-art techniques.
Animals, just like people, benefit from treatment by a Physical Therapist for various conditions throughout their lifespan.
Examples of conditions treated:
Pain from injury, surgery or disability
Pre or post-operative orthopedic or neurosurgery
Soft tissue injuries: tendons, ligaments, muscles and nerves
Arthritis or dysplasia
Gait abnormalities and lameness
Spine disorders: disc problems, neck or back pain
Changes in posture or reluctance to go on walks
Geriatric conditions: joint stiffness, decreased flexibility, decreased strength, decreased mobility
Performance problems in canine atheletes and working dogs
Critical and recumbent care recovery
Injuries requiring braces, orthotics and prosthetics
Please, call 530-388-8157 to speak to Dr. Jackie Woelz, Physical Therapist, for more detailed information.
We welcome referrals from other veterinary hospitals, and we will discuss our recommended plan of care with your primary veterinarian.
