OMG Taike is absolutely amazing! The tiger buns are so good. I’m usually pretty particular about my bubble tea and this place has made every single one so well! Wanna is so sweet and has made me feel at home here in Seattle with her kind smile and bubbly personality. If you’re looking for a delicious meal or even just a snack/bubble tea - this is the place to GO!
The Chick 8 Beto was very good with the original seasoning although I would go with a spicier seasoning next time. Quiet, super chill, and a little off the beaten path.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
One of the better places at the UW that has food and drinks! Super clean spot with friendly service. The drinks are good, I get 50% sweetness and it’s normal to me! Big menu and the popcorn chicken was juicy and not too salty! Lots of parking on the side of the street!
YASSSS finally some good Taiwanese street food!! I ordered the popcorn chicken — tastes just like the food at the night market!!! Can’t wait to come back and eat more!
Amazing Taiwanese street food. Authentic and takes me back to my childhood at night markets. They are primarily takeout, but right now they allow you to "dine in" on a table to the left of the entrance. Would not come here to dine in, really treat it like street food where you come buy it and eat it while you're walking or find somewhere else to snack. With that in mind though, we still asked to dine in. Our food came in a nice takeout container if we didn't finish and wanted to treat it like street food. However, most notable was that they brought along a container of sanitation wipes because the baos could be a bit messy. Really appreciated that. I miss Taike Tea next door because they were the perfect combo - Taiwanese street food and boba. I wish they would at least add a house milk tea here. Anyways, I always get the popcorn chicken here and it's perfect. The chicken breading is light yet crispy and I love the spice they use. Pictured is the spicy creamy chicken tiger bun. Same chicken style as the popcorn chicken, just a bigger piece and without the added spice. My partner mentioned it's the best bao she's had! We really appreciate the simplicity of meat, salad, and sauce. Then, we made this a combo with waffle fries for a light snack. Waffle fries are pretty standard, but the baos are lovely.
Wanna is the sweetest woman in the entire city. Amazing customer service, and somehow, even BETTER FOOD. I've enjoyed their Chicken Tiger Buns, and the Pork Tiger Buns. Omg, they are so hot and well seasoned it's unbelievable. Like so good, I can't recommend this place enough. Please go here! Btw, the Boba teas and drinks are TOP NOTCH. THIS PLACE IS LEGENDARY
I don't stop in many shops in Seattle, but I make an exception for Taike Kitchen. I suspect it's family run. Why? Because everything is done well, they're johnny on the spot when it comes to the boba tea. Will be back, will be trying the food here soon!
The popcorn chicken is iconic, and the people who work here are so nice. The deep fried tofu and string beans are also so so good. I love this place so much!!
Super convenient to order and pick up from Taike Kitchen from a variety of apps. I love their popcorn chicken bowl especially and it goes great paired with their Taike Tea menu!
Taike Tea & Taike Kitchen is a really cool idea, but the quality of food is just not there to make this idea successful. The salt and pepper steak is probably the worst tasting thing on the Ave. I want them to be successful, but if they keep that menu, honestly they deserve to fail.
