Awesome people, clean restaurant yet cozy, and omg fresh oysters. 2 thumbs up!! You need to try their grilled oyster, gumbo, and shrimp salad. Of course the raw oysters  are by far the best.Food: 5/5

First time there.  Great Service.  Great food.  Grilled oysters were awesome. Mixed drinks were good. Homemade pies.  Listened to Donny Trexler playing music.  We will definitely be back soon.Food: 5/5

Tailgate Oyster Bar has THE BEST tasting oysters and we frequent many oyster restaurants. They were meaty and plump with great flavor! Their Shrimp with Old Bay was also delicious! Great service with pleasant and helpful staff.  I gave a four-star rating on the atmosphere only because it's not upscale BUT the inside is a friendly and cute diner/bar where everyone talks with their neighbor. The interior is decorated with different truck model tailgates which adds to the unique feel of the place! There is outside seating also and they had a duo performing the evening we were there. We'll definitely be back to enjoy this great restaurant!

We were visiting south Myrtle Beach from Ohio and a friend told us to visit tailgate if we went anywhere. They have limited hours so plan for that. The staff, the vibes, the food were all amazing. My partner and I together ate three dozen oysters. Best ever! Smash burger is good too! Key lime pie is outrageous. Staff were so lovely.Food: 5/5

Adding more since last visit. This place gets better every single visit. They treated our daughter 1yoa like their own. They brought her a popsicle on the house as an extra treat. The food is great every time and the service is the best of the beach. If you haven't been to this hidden gem you're missing out.  Absolutely amazing experience. Second time being here and have loved it both times. The oysters are AMAZING. BEST IN MYRTLE. Highly recommend the grilled oysters. Music was awesome outside. We will be back on every visit.

Hidden seafood-lovers gem in NMB… This was our first visit but won’t be our last!  Unassuming outside, fun vibe inside with excellent live music.  Very clean.  Food was fast and delicious.  The staff was so genuine and friendly. Got pie to go and they even sent us home with a can of whipped cream!  Will definitely be one of our “spots” when we’re in town.

What a truly wonderful experience! My husband and I love oysters so after reading the great reviews, we made it a priority to come here for dinner on our first night in Myrtle Beach.  They oysters were fresh and delicious. The menu is simple but I truly appreciate that. We brought our two young kids, which I was a little apprehensive about, but the staff and the other patrons were incredible to us. They doted on our girls, even bringing them ice cream for dessert. They had live music outside and such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere inside. We left dinner that night absolutely smitten with this restaurant and the community.

Great food. We had the clamp chowder, 1lb of shrimp 12 raw oysters 12 steamed clams and the key lime pie. Everything was great. The oysters are in the middle of the road. Not to small and not to big or not to sweet and not to salty. For the everyday person these oysters are good. The clam chowder was fantastic.  The clams were good if that's your thing. The steamed shrimp was great and the most tart key lime pie I have ever had. Very friendly staff! Over all a great experience next time I want to try the burgers.

Here it is folks! Another diamond in the rough. The food is OUTSTANDING! Best gumbo outside Louisiana. Shrimp salad fresh and delicious. My brother said the burger was top notch and they have CRUSHED ICE yo!  Great people here too, very friendly, sense of humor and the service is great. Natural and Jessica will take good care of you.  Best dinner in Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach.

Amazing oysters & shrimp.  Super fresh, staff is awesome - you can tell they honestly love working there.  Overall immaculate vibes. A place for everybody.  Pie was FIRE!  a little sweet, a little tart, just perfect.  Weird hours but I personally appreciate that.  They do what they want and either you patron them or you don’t - love a confident DGAF business.  def recommend you go during the few hours a week they are open - no regrets
