The full story of these historical homes is not told. I hope the individuals who stay here try to appreciate the reality of those previous dwellers of these plantation shacks. What some of you find cool and amazing and fun was once the painful uncomfortable existence of the African American people who lived there. They worked hard on the cotton feilds or in the big house and were paid little if anything at all. For most this little house is all they got for service and hard labor. They had no inside toilets or central heart and air that you enjoy now in these renovated shacks. Please embrace all of this experience the fun you came to have and the depth of discomfort and sacrifice that is absorbed in these walls!

Great stay! Loved staying in the old shacks. Also great photos taken at sunrise. Highly recommend

Oh my goodness this was a fun experience! The owners have restored and preserved old sharecropper cabins to stay in. They have so much of the original structure! So much history and so amazing to think about who has slept under the roof before you. Wonderful location near a supposed grave of Robert Johnson. The experience was magical!
