Had been driving by this spot/eyeballing it for a while now and after talking about tamales with a friend the other day i was ready to give it a shot. Im not a tamale pro by any means but come on lets support local small business owners. When i went in there were a couple people ahead of me ordering. The people working there were friendly and enthusiastic about their product. The place was clean and the tamales are already prepared and ready to go. I was going to bring the tamales home to suprise the family so the six pack seemed the best way to go. Tried all of them but the sweet potato one. My favorite was the cheese and pablano followed by the pork mole. The family loved the tamles and we had two left for later! Happy this place is so close to work so i can stop in again for more. Thank you TML!!
I got the opportunity to try these tamales at a festival....they were out-of-this-world delicious! I am first generation Mexican-American and grew up eating my mother's and grandmother's tamales, who made traditional tamales every year for the holidays that were absolutely delicious. I try so hard now as a Seattle-ite to find tamales anywhere NEAR as delicious, and am usually pretty let down. Tamale My Life did not disappoint! Their masa was moist and tasty, the fillings were very flavorful, the ratio was perfect....I cannot wait to order more of these as soon as possible! I hope they incorporate their bacon jalapeno popper flavor into their regular menu, but I look forward to trying the other flavors offered. Great job TML!
Yummy and delicious vegan tamales with black bean & sweet potato Salsa red is good too. Side of beans is nothing mindblowing with minimal spices, but they are good to me because they do not have that nasty aftertaste that most American Mexican restaurant refried beans have. Food is very affordable and lots of volume for money compared to other vegan Seattle food! Even cheaper than grocery for home cook these days honestly. Tamal My Life thank you for being at the Shoreline Farmers Market so people who live in the North can eat too! Only thing to say is I wish there were more vegan choice... Tamal my Life if you make vegan tamales de rajas or tamales de elote... any tamal with pepper or celebrating vegetables...I would buy several every week!! Sending all the everyone who made this food my thank you for the deliciousness EDIT: We buy more vegan tamales from farmer's market and some of them were what we ordered but others were CHICKEN tamales... please be more careful sorting your tamales :
Ordered a Chicken Tomatillo Tamale. .this doesn't taste, look or feel like a tamale at all! Filling is some kind of chopped and formed mixture that tastes vaguely like cinnamon...no flavor otherwise. Where's the flavorful shredded chicken I expected? Tomatillo sauce on the side is pretty spicy, even though I asked for mild.
Tamale My Life recently brought their tasty tamales to Victory Heights, and we couldn't have been more thankful to have them! Before they arrived, they were incredibly responsive, collaborative, and courteous through all of our coordinating communications. When they arrived, the chefs were so personable, friendly, and welcoming, it really felt like they were a part of the neighborhood! And the set up was so unique - this isn't just a table of snacks at your normal craft fair or a traditional "food truck:" this was a decked-out trailer with crisp clean linens, whipping up these insanely flavorful tamales out in the fresh open air, matched with modern tech to pay quickly and tip!. Which, let's get to the tamales: SO incredibly flavorful and fresh - we picked up a couple of the pork ones and a couple of the vegetable ones. I'll be honest, I've only had a handful of tamales in my life burritos, fajitas, and tacos have always been my go-to's, but ABSOLUTE HONESTLY this was the most memorable tamale I've ever had maybe partially influenced by just polishing off a hot summit on Tiger Mountain. I feel SO THANKFUL that we're getting this food truck back THREE MORE TIMES this summer in our neighborhood, and you can BET we'll be stocking our fridge with extra tamales each time! THANK YOU for coming to Victory Heights!!!!!
These tamales are delicious. Masa to meat ratio is on point. Usually everyone does way more masa than filling so I appreciate the ratio. Ordered for a work lunch and it was a hit.
These enchiladas were made with such care I could have sworn my mom was making them for me. I got the meal with came with beans and rice and even those sides were seasoned well. If you have the chance to catch tamale my life I'd recommend it. I'm having to hold myself back from eating my fiancee's share. They even offer a wide variety of flavors and online ordering.
Their selection of tamales is great. Some tamales are better than others I would say. Vegetarian options: Loaded veggie is one of the tastier veggie tamales
We've been using TML for their catering services since the start of May 2022, and we've been absolutely delighted. They've done a great job of consistently supplying for their tamales to our company of 50 on a timely manner. Just this past holiday, I ordered their tamale kits and two dozens tamales for my family. Our kids LOVED the tamale kits and can't stop talking about making more tamales which is pretty cool. It's been great seeing them go from a cooler tamale family, to a food truck, and now to their own little store. I highly recommend ordering for your group.
Worst tamales of my life. The rice tasted like plastic and the beans had no flavor. May God have mercy on this establishment.Food: 2/5
