I am this librarys biggest fan. I visit weekly. Staff had always been so helpful.

I like this library. It's pretty ordinary; lots of books, a few public computers, a few nice sitting areas and a nice children's area. They host community events and most of the staff is warm and friendly. Once in a while there's a staffer who doesn't seem to enjoy their job... I don't expect people to smile and be pleasant all the time, but I don't like feeling like I'm an inconvenience either. Otherwise, my experiences here are positive.

I have been going to the Tamaqua library for over 30 years and have just have been unhappy with the service in the past few years. A very unfriendly person accused me of damaging a book that I did nothing to. Considering the tears and stains I have read over the years this seemed a little overkill. Today my daughter went to return books and pick up new ones at a little after 4 PM and were told the library was closed to book readers, they were having some kind of bake sale. This totally does not make sense to me. The posted hours are 10AM- 5PM.  Not sure who is in charge of this library but it has become very unpeople friendly. Not a good place to go anymore! :(
