The only thing that saved from being one star because the food was good. The experience started off good, being greet when I walked in, the place seemed welcoming, we were only table for early dinner in the middle of the week. Pita bread with cheese hot plate was yummy. Salad with kabob meat was good. A friend has to leave so asked for separate bill. He was charging gratitude on all our bills, he got irritated when asked separate bills. We apologized for not telling him early. The price on the menu did not match the bill. He brushed me off by saying the machine charged for what it is. If that is the case, you need to fix the price on your menu. Someone came late, ordered Togo and decided to order a dessert, got charged for gratuity. It is a slow night, I guess he is charging for every dollar he can get. I like the food but not coming back.
Delicious authentic Greek food with friendly staff. We had an appetizer potato thing with pita, the avgolemono soup, entrees, and split a dessert, ended up being 65$ for two people. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Enjoyable early dinner after walking the dogs around Issaquah on a sunny late Winter afternoon. We shared the mixed appetizers hummus, Tzatziki, eggplant dip, Skordalia, feta, olives with warm pita and then the Olympus Plate dinner Moussaka, Chicken skewer, Spinaokipta, Dolmades and veggies. I encouraged my friend to try Retsina and she enjoyed its unusual but refreshing taste.
I was greeted as soon as I opened the door. The waiter was prompt and friendly. My food arrived quickly and was delicious!!Food: 5/5
I had the lemonata and the lemon soup tonight - it was delicious. Wonderful service I usually get the pikilia - appetizer platter - but I wanted to branch out. I've been coming here with my family for years for birthdays and congratulations dinners and they always treat families well, love it here, wish I could review it twice.Food: 5/5
It’s not just a food. It’s truly experience! All these flavours mixed together: sour, lemony, sweet, spicy. It’s way better then I have expected. Staff is very friendly and food served fast. Highly recommend.
Disappointed by both the food and service. Only 2 tables occupied and very little attention to us. Had to go inside to find our bill to pay. Food was way over cooked. The prawns were rubber and the lemonton beef dry as a desert. Facility is not ADA accessible.
Lovely small business to go to instead of the normal chains and big flashy restaurants of Issaquah. Tantalus is also in the iconic Gilman Village. This is also a lovely destination although the stores close in the early evening. You can walk the cobblestone paths as the whole place is lit up. Tantalus is a small, family run greek restaurant. We had a DELICIOUS eggplant dip appetizer with homemade pita breads. I am a vegetarian and I had the dolmas stuffed grape leaves. SO good. I liked how all the entrees came with soupI had lentil that was so yummy and also the entrees are big. They come with potatoes and veggies. It is a medium-priced restaurant so you do have to plan to spend a little more. My dish was $15.99. Seemed like a great buy. Very expansive menu! Nice atmosphere inside. Friendly waiter and staff. Support a small business. Before or after you can go paint some pottery at the pottery place right near by!
Ordered via DoorDash. Didn’t like the gyros sandwich as the meat was greasy, pita hard to chew, tomatoes flavorless and one broccoli branch was spoiled. Spanakopita was ok but wet. The only thing from the order that was great was potatoes - but we can cook these at home.
We a Greek salad and two entries that came with soup. The salad and the entrees were pretty plain, almost tasteless. And while the soup was good, it didn't make up for the salad or the entrees. On top of that, the wait person was continually trying to "upsell" us. Pretty poor dining experience.
