Just moved to this small CT town called Bethel from suburban of NY, while we were in NY, we ate all over the place , a lots of great restaurants that we tried . Now we living in CT, I didn’t think we will be able to find a decent place for a good meal! but after picked this small restaurant for my birthday dinner, it was so good , the place is very clean and food is fresh and tasty, staffs are very friendly. You should have reservations if you want guarantied seats. We will definitely come back for more!!!

Very nice place and good food. The burger was very good. I had mussels for the first time which were well done. The Brussel sprouts were excellent, I recommend it before ordering your entree. I would definitely come back. Thank you Taproot.Food: 5/5

Very quant restaurant. Atmosphere was nice and inviting. Staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was very good and flavorful. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed the fact that the spicey food had a lot of flavor and not just heat. We tried the desert which we were told was something new they were trying. Very interesting blend of flavors and textures. We felt It was worth trying something new and interesting. It was nice to find a new place to go out to eat and Would definitely come back.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Their menu is unique and the food, drinks and service is excellent.  They focus on quality and attention to detail and it shows.

Thoughtfully planned well executed menu that highlights seasonal local farm to table ingredients. The service was attentive and well atuned to guest's needs.  Great cocktail menu. I'm so sorry it took us so long to make it here. Bethel is lucky to have such a gem!

Taproot is delicious and not to be missed! It’s tucked away in a little corner where it’s easily overlooked, but the food is undeniably creative and the presentation is amazing. The avocado toast at happy hour is in experience in itself.  That having been said the menu is a bit pricey, so be mentally prepared for that going in. It’s a culinary delight, though, and really worth it if you’re into trying new dishes. Ordering several small plates for the table to share gives everyone a taste without getting too expensive. The menu changes regularly and the ambiance is nice, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

One of the most unique spots in CT and the chef is beyond talented. Don’t let this small, out of the ordinary place deceive you, worth every dime!

This review is long overdue - Taproot is our absolute favorite place! We moved from NYC last year and we miss a lot of NYC's food but wow, does Taproot help with that. This place, although quite small and unassuming in quiet little Bethel, delivers an incredible menu of creative asian fusion, with flair! The cocktails are incredible and you just can't find food like this anywhere else locally. We love that it breaks the mold and is so creative, with a rotating and seasonal menu that always excites! Last time we were there, we had bone marrow that blew our socks off! We love this place - such a gem! Keep making great food!!

The food is delicious here and the service is some of the best. I recommend trying them out when you can.
