Great local place for Mexican food. Dine in is great with complementary chips to start off. Also this place does not serve alcohol, but you can BYOB. Tried tacos this visit. They were awesome when you get them with nopales. Campechanos were filling, and the tripas were nice and crunchy. Ended with a wonderful slice of flan.
Went here after visiting the aquarium. Everything looked good so we ordered a bunch of things, overall the food was decent. Portions were very good for the price. I’m Mexican myself so it’s hard to find a place that i can actually truly enjoy without judging it!
*Takeout Review* Since this place was very close to my friend's house, He recommended I try this place, he ordered 2 dishes for us. While the portions are very generous for the price, the proteins cooked nicely and the sides are good too. However I find one of the dish a little too salty and oily, and the cheese on top was unnecessary. The food was OK at best. Maybe next time If I decide to visit again, I will try some of their tacos or burritos. The staff is very friendly and the Atmosphere is unique.
One of thee best taco places in Philly. I've dined in and ordered my food to-go. I had the steak enchiladas. It was good BUT the steak could have been cooked more medium for tenderness. It was a hit-and-miss on a few bites. However, still good. My hands down favorite thing to order is the Chorizo!Food: 5/5
1. One the best Mexican restaurants in Philadelphia. 2. The Lengua Cemita was amazing, the beef tongue was tender and fatty. The protein did not overpower the cemita, as the cheese and veggies balances everything out very well. 3. Chips and salsa were served before the meal. 4. Service was fast and pleasant. 5. The atmosphere felt very authentic to Mexico, from the decorations to the food.
A nice corner Mexican restaurant with tasty chips and salsa. Almost a hole in the wall place but it is in a corner of an intersection. The restaurant does accept cards. They do prefer cash but the ATM outside was broken. The atmosphere inside was a nice authentic Mexican restaurant feel, even had Mexican drama on the TV. The server was good but when we got in the restaurant they didn't direct us to the table or welcome us. We were kind of confused, but we pointed at a table and they nodded and brought the menu and utensils. We had to flag the staff down for more water or ordering or asking for a check. The chips and dip were great. I enjoy that better than my meal. The food I got was good but wasn't the best I've had. I had the tacos with beef tongue. The beef tongue was a bit dry and a bit bland. The taco itself was dry, I needed to add more salsa/hot sauce. I'll have to try the chicken next time. I got the cheese on my taco as extra but I'll suggest to skip it. My friend got the burrito and that looked great and he said it was filling and tasty. Overall, if I'm in the area and craving Mexican, I'll come here again. I'll probably try something else on the menu next time since there are so many items on the menu.
Nice side corner restaurant serving Mexican foods and drinks. Started with very good fresh tortillas and house salsas I had the fajita with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Lots of well cooked veggies. Sides of lettuce, cojtita cheese and refried beans. A large Mexican coke bottle was also added. My partner had the chorizo burrito and a horchata We both were very satisfied with the foods. Recommended thoroughly.
It’s very cozy restaurant in south Philadelphia. The food is always great and their portion is very satisfying. They are really busy, but they serve your food really fast. They serve you chips and dipping sauces immediately after taking your order. Wheelchair accessibility: They don’t have wheelchair accessibility in their restaurant.
Haven't ordered here for awhile. We ordered the Cubano, the chicken enchiladas in a Verde sauce and tostada's and guacamole and chips. The food was delicious! Thank you. Ordered lunch before my son went back to school. Food was delivered quickly, was made fresh and delicious! Portions are more than generous! My son took half of his cubano back to school. My pollo asado was so good! Thank you! Eat in or take out, or have delivered. The food is really good. The tortas are enough for two people. The enchiladas, the salads, the guac and chips, all are really tasty. 4/10/24…stopped in today and did a take out order. My chicken burrito was delicious and the Cubano was good as ever. Thank you!
This spot was a random stop while looking for authentic tacos and it's pretty good. We we served chips with salsa roja and verde. Both salsas were good and had their own spice level along with spice character. We got 2 types of aguas frescas tamarindo / horchata and they were really good and refreshing, a perfect pairing for the richness of the meal. We ordered the guacamole with chips and while it was good it lacked salt and flavor. For our entree we got tacos carnitas and suadero. The carnitas are not like pulled pork but rather like the authentic style which include some fatty bits with cartilage looked like pig ears they are served with onion and cilantro they definitely need a sauce to kick the flavor yo the next level. Because of the fatty content of this dish it is very filling and rich. The suadero tacos were also tasty but they are like a typical steak taco and I wish we ordered something else instead. Overall it's a good restaurant with decent food but I'm not ready to say these tacos are the best in Philly.
