Hello - 

The purpose of these reviews are to inform consumers so that they don't make the same mistakes that other people do. So, for whoever was offended by my sister's words, please understand her statements were fair, honest, and necessary. I was the bride who was very rudely treated by Linda, however this should NOT reflect poorly on Tara's (As my sister mentioned, Bev did go above and beyond to justify a very horrible situation). Linda's words on here are complete lies and, while I don't care whether or not one would believe her over me, I feel the need to let people know just how awful she was, and then let you make your own decision as to whether or not you'd care to work with her.
5 Appointments had been made fore months for myself & my bridesmaids to have our hair done (by Linda) this past Saturday of my wedding. SHE quoted me a price of $30 for each. No pressure was put on this woman to quote a price - I simply asked her rates, and she gave them to me. On Thursday morning (2 days before my wedding, as I'm driving to HHI), Linda calls me and simply says, "I am not going to be able to do the hair for your wedding. I just can't. $30 is way below what I usually charge, and your mother-in-law really offended me". I proceded to tell her that I would have paid her what she charges - SHE is the one who gave me a quote. And about my mother-in-law - she couldn't hurt a fly & I would take her word over Linda's in a heart beat. She says she did nothing to offend this woman, and simply asked if she could drop by to get a consult. 

Anyways, most of this was already explained by my sister, but I am flabberghasted that Linda would first be SO rube, and then lie about her actions. She refused to do the entire bridal party, and was very rude and highly unprofessional. Think what you will about these comments, but suffer the consequences if you choose to ignore them. Bev really did make up for the situation, and I would highly recommend her to anyone! My rating is for Tara's & not Linda.

 It keeps going and going.  I am the stylist  Linda, these people made a appointment for 4 people 2 were for a trial hair to see what they wanted or liked,  after being lied  to   about the hair, which by the way how much hair someone has, and what condition it is in  makes a big diffrence in the price. the bottom line is ,I called them back after speaking to someone for 20 minutes on my day off about how no one could do her hair but the girl in charlotte.  i decided to call 2 days ahead of the wedding which was thursday morning. to tell the bride  i could not do the hair of the person that called me for the price i quoted wich was  to cheep any way, because i was told something entirley diffrent. but i would do hers for the price i quoted. then she procedded to screem at me. the bottom line here is !!!!! if they didnt like the hair on the trial run  what would they have done??????? .   whe i see trouble i try to avoid it !!!! as you can see these people were and are clearly trouble   remember there name  and they are from charlotte North Carolina, dont quote a price to people who lie!!!! and yes  I was let go  because  of these nuts.  A trial to see if they like there hair ,2 days ahead does not  make  a wedding party of 8!!!!!!!, so they did end up getting something for nothing anyway !!!!!!  and

I had initially posted a negative review because at the time I posted it, I had experienced a terrible situation from one particular stylist at this salon, and the manager did not seem to care too much about it. A stylist had cancelled last minute on doing hair for an entire wedding party when she had made the appointment months in advance. She also made a racially discriminatory comment to the mother of the groom on the phone, which was very upsetting and disturbing. Later, the owner of the salon, Bev, called, and she made the entire thing right. She came into work on a Saturday (her husbands birthday no less), and she did everyones hair (even did my moms hair for free). She did a wonderful job on our hair and was very kind and sweet. She also told us she got rid of that stylist (Linda I believe her name was). Bev did the right thing. You can tell she is a good person, and we all really appreciated it very much. I would recommend having Bev do your hair hands down.

As for the reviewers on here who were so appalled by my initial negative review. I do not understand that. I think it is important to share info like this so that other people do not end up in the same situation. Had Bev not fixed this, we would have been in a real fix (as it seemed to me when I posted my initial review). I posted that review to prevent others from suffering the same fate. I had every intention of updating the review if/when the situation was remedied. At the time of my initial post, it was not clear from the manager that it was going to be remedied, but thankfully, it was by Bev, and I am happy to recommend Bev and her salon.
