We had a reservation for a more commercial-type campground in the area, but my family and I were drawn to Target Tree Campground as we drove by attracted by the rustic scenery. The hosts were terrific, we had the run of the place to ourselves, and took a great hike in the morning to start off our next day.

The campground is beautiful and clean. Each spot has a gorgeous picnic area. We visited in August 2016 with a Class A motorhome. There are plenty of spots for a decent sized RV. The campground has 24 open sites, water and pit toilets and costs $17/night. We were surprised how few spots were taken while we visited. It's about a half hour west of Durango CO on the way to Mesa Verde National Park.

Very nicely situated between Durango, CO and Mesa Verde National Park, 8 miles east of Mancos, CO.   Popular but relatively quiet campground located just off of the throughfare.  Enjoyed the visit, scenery and amenities!
