Trying to get son enrolled and registered. Three trips, countless calls, and a handful of emails and still encountering blocks when attempting to register for classes. We have done everything told to us to do, but the administration is quite disorganized and chaotic. Computer files do not get updated until you locate the problem, go to the campus, and have someone correct their record keeping. Transcripts and SAT scores take a ridiculous amount of time to load after received, and even then, the digital files differ depending on the person viewing them. As a college educated woman, I can truly state that simply enrolling has to be the biggest obstacle at this "college." Ridiculous.

The teachers get just as involved as you do. It is a great college experience. The DSS office is wonderful as well

I just graduated from here this summer. I loved the campuses, but I was not AT ALL prepared for a university. I think TCC is wonderful, especially if you're seeking an associates, but if you plan on transferring, be wary of the lack of preparedness. I'm at UTA and feel grossly uneducated or challenged coming from TCC. I feel like I am starting college life completely over, except I've been thrown into Junior and Senior courses. There were amazing professors at TCC and because it's small, I got individualised attention when I needed it. Still, nothing I did there academically prepared me for a university.

There are some things I like about TCC and some things I hate. I like the classes and professor... But dealing with the registrars office and financial aid is a complete joke. It has been impossible for me to ever get anything done the first time without having to go back 3-5 times " you need this and that or this and that" especially if you were dual credit. Or taking the TSI test for 30 something time cause your 1 point away from passing and even though you passed every single math class you took in high school thats not good enough. But that isn't even as bad as dealing with the financial aid who when i go just blow off what i say every time trying to give me a run around for this and that, i don't know if its because I'm young or what but its annoying, oh and did i mention its also annoying that when you have no job (not that i haven't been looking) and your single parent only makes $60,000 a year you don't qualify for financial aid. They only look at 1 number from your FASFA to determine your aid, they never look at you know bills, your GPA (4.0) and things like that house bill, 2 car bills, water bill, phone & tv bill, electricity bill, etc. And if you qualify for no aid then they give you a run around about this stars of tomorrow scholarship which you can qualify for IF you meet all the list of requirements. So as you can see its just been a blast for me.

only took a few classes at this hellhole of a school for the last few years. they make you take a stupid placement test initially, and if you do bad, you're relegated to remedial classes. The remedial classes are so stupidly difficult that you either have to drop them, or you fail and risk academic suspension/probation. Chicago colleges are a lot better, they actually help you get to where you want to be, unlike this place which I wasted my time and money.
