Great selection, pretty good prices. Staff is helpful if you ask. There's a section in the back right hand corner of half-off original cover price paperbacks... amazing. It's a short walk from the N stop on Church and Deboce, and there are a bunch of places around there to grab a bite after gem hunting in Aardvark. I've made some great finds there, for reasonable prices (I mostly go for paperback fiction, politics, gender studies). 
This place is definitely one of the things I miss about the city.

I love this little TASCHEN Store Los Angeles . As stated in my secret garden review, this store makes me want to roll out my yoga mat and meditate for hours. I love the ambiance and energy in the store. It is perfect right next to the secret garden. It would be awesome if there was a way to have a very small space inside to do yoga. The energy is perfect for it.i love browsing this store.

The best bookstore in Los Angeles! With Franny as their feline mascot, TASCHEN Store Hollywood has an amazing staff, a fantastic inventory and an unparalleled set of public events. This is not just a book store, it's a community center, hang-out, inspiration point and the place to buy a gift for anyone or any occasion.

Tachen is always pricey but ch ck out this store when they have a sale going.  Great books here.
