Have not been in a while. The menu had been updated, and there are new additions as well as some carry over from the last time we were in. The server was very friendly and welcoming. The chicken picatta was excellent. The only drawback was the menu said Angel hair pasta and what was served was spaghetti. Lots of artichoke hearts and capers gave the dish great flavor and was much more than I could finish. My partner had the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked. Light and flakey. This dish again was more than could be finished. The price was reasonable. The live music was a nice treat as well.
Six of us just had dinner there last night. We shared Buffalo chicken wings and the tower nachos. Both were excellent! I had the best eggplant Parmesan that I’ve had since Salon is closed. Everyone else was also very happy with their food and our server was very nice and attentive… The atmosphere to the right when you enter has a very cool vibe with comfy couches and pillows to sit and relax having a drink
Not a good place to host a party. The food was great and atmosphere wonderful. They need to work on their customer service skills. We won’t be returning due to lack of friendly front of house.Food: 4/5
Wow, comfortable and warm atmosphere! Love the little lounges and the optional outside seating. The bar itself is nice and big and has plenty of options for drinks. We had calamari with a flavorful crunchy tempura coating and the 'dirty fries' which have pulled pork and a tasty smoked tomato aioli for dinner, I had the salmon piccata with angel hair pasta and a lemon caper garlicsauce with artichoke hearts. It was a generous portion and I was sad to leave any on my plate, but I couldn't eat it all. Kudos to Chef Jeff and our fabulous server Jordan. Vegetarian options: My aunt said the eggplant Parmesan was fabulous.
They were very nice to take us in at the end of a ski day with no reservation. The food was okay. A number of options were out. Very surprised by the disparity in the food served vs. online photos. Definitely felt like a different restaurant/different menu than what they show online. Perhaps there’s been a change in management? Fine food at the end of a long day but won’t come back.
Waited several minutes at the door to be greeted and once someone finally came up to us they offered a high top next to the bar but never brought any menus. We thought moving to the bar might speed up the process and also they had some larger families there so I assumed the only two servers they staffed were busy. After sitting at the bar for several minutes we finally were addressed and given menus. When ordering a drink from the bartender I presented my ID which I was told could not be excepted due to the “Not For Real ID” labeling, but my partner was able to be served while having the same license. The staff must not be educated with the new IDs that had come out and was unaware that it was completely valid. They also did not scan the ID. Safe to say this place is not traveler friendly. Disappointing because I thought this was a nice area and they seemed to have decent food. I come to Vermont very often and have never had a problem like this. Do better.
Nice small place. The food and the service were good. Good food portions.
The burgers, drinks and desserts were delicious! Highly recommend.
Man this place was PHENOMENAL. We had 7 people and the service was great. The waitress was on top Of everything the whole night and drinks came out quick when ordered. We dabbled about 4 different appetizers, dirty fries, Bavarian pretzel, nachos and Mexican egg roll. They were all spot on and out in 10 minutes. Our entrees came out promptly after we finished the apps. We had the chimichanga which was perfectly cooked and a great portion size. The Italian burger and tacos were also astounding. Had zero complaints about tonight. Thoroughly impressed on my first visit. Will Continue to attend and recommend
Came here on a Friday with my dad. The service was responsive and friendly. We got the seafood cakes as an appetizer and they were fantastic. We also got the nachos which, although presented well, I would not recommend. They were salty and the guacamole and cheese not quality. However, I still recommend checking this place out and trying the other amazing things on their menu. Our entree from the specials menu stuffed salmon was great. Overall I thought it was a great new place and I hope it thrives in Rutland’s downtown.
