Taste Chicago, owned by Criminal Minds actor, Joe Mantegna and his wife Arlene, is the place to go for Chicago's favorite foods. Be it a quick or casual lunch, dinner on the comfortable enclosed porch, take out to go or even platters of food from 5 to 500, you'll find everything authentic, fresh and delicious.

Created by Arlene Mantegna with the help of longtime friend and Taste Chicago's Manager, Jo Williams, this delightful establishment truly brings the taste of Chicago to California.

What started it all is the Italian Beef sandwich that, until Taste Chicago opened it's doors, was almost impossible to find anywhere outside of Chicago. The Italian Beef sandwich is made fresh daily, sliced thin and drenched in distinctive, flavorful and authentic juices.

"My wife Arlene is a great cook. Out of sheer necessity she came up with her, 'better than you remember it' Italian beef. It's great for big parties, so we'd serve it on Super Bowl Sundays, birthdays, opening nights, reunions and all our big events that Chicago and Los Angeles friends would attend. The Italian beef was always a crowd pleaser. People would rave and say, "You should sell this! You should open up a place."

On Columbus Day in October of 2003 Taste Chicago opened it's doors on the corner of Hollywood Way and Verdugo in Burbank. Fabulously located near Universal, NBC, Disney and Nickelodeon studios, Taste Chicago is just down the street from Warner Bros. and on the path toward the Bob Hope Burbank Airport. Columbus discovered America and Burbank discovered Taste Chicago!

A small restaurant with a big heart. Yes, heart-shaped pizzas are always available at Taste Chicago and they're as delicious as they are big and beautiful.

Stop by for a Sicilian slice, mini deep-dish pizza, Italian beef sandwich or a Chicago dog with a real Vienna beef hot dog on a poppy-seed bun. Taste Chicago also serves homemade meatballs, spaghetti, BBQ ribs, salads, sandwiches, Italian Ice, spumoni ice cream and so much more!
