When I saw the menu on the website I was already excited. I was waiting for a place exactly like this in Oceanside/Carlsbad, and one opened 4 minutes away! This was the best food under $30 a person I've had in a while hands down. I was sad at how empty it was, but we did go at 3:45, so thst factored in. We ordered the pan fried pork buns, braised pork belly and preserved vegetables, and beef chow main. I also got a Thai tea. The menu is huge, and I see no reason not to think it's not all just as good! Sorry for not taking a picture before we started
It’s a nice comfy spot. I loved my milk tea! We ordered the Shrimp & Chicken chow mein noodles, eggs rolls and Shu-Mai. The noodles were good, the egg rolls had a vegetable jelly like filling on the inside and the Shu-Mai was much different than what I’ve had before. Instead of the shrimp, chicken or pork mixture that’s normally in there, it was a lot of rice, so maybe they just do a different version. They were very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely visit again and try a few other things. I’m in search of meatless options and I saw a few on the menu, so we’ll see!
The pork dimsum was the freshest I've ever had. The Taiwanese chicken was so juicy and flavorful!! The service was awesome. Our service older gentleman gave us some insight to the sake we ordered great time and great atmosphere. Will be going back very very soon.Food: 5/5
This is one of our go to restaurants! Love getting the thick Shanghai style chow mein noodles. Truly delicious. You also can’t go wrong with the combination fried rice or the crispy fish fillet w/ seaweed. Wasn’t very impressed with the Shanghai veggie & pork wonton soup. Their lychee slush are really good if you like sweet drinks. Their servers are also very attentive!
The food was good. We got the Shanghai chow mein, shrimp fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and grilled pork bun. We added the chili paste to it, and that was very flavorful. We were 2 people and waited for 10 min to get seated and the servers were nice. They are still new so it's not completely organized and all the servers are running around. Some tables of larger groups were waiting for a long time.
Amazing food, which came out hot, tasted phenomenal, & the service here was above average. My wife picked this place, & she told me it was new, so we gave them some business. The only thing I didn't like about this place, was their Thai iced tea, as well as this iced green tea was $4.75, per glass, for a regular-sized glass-with no free refills. I showed up here super thirsty, & there's no way I was gonna pay apporox. $10 for 2 glasses of tea. Tasty Noodle House starts off by bringing you two small, free bowls -1 filled with fresh salted peanuts, which were very good! The other was a bright green mound of pickled cucumber, mixed with seaweed. This was also mighty . I ordered the $15.99 Beef Chow Mein, In Black Pepper Sauce. When my plate came out, my eyes bugged out, when I saw how gynormous, the mound, of steaming hot noodles, mixed with green vegetable & thin, tender strips of beef, was! Not only that, my food tasted amazing! The pepper sauce...gave this dish a nice zing of flavor. My wife ordered the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. She loved hers, as well. There were humongous chunks of Asian-spiced Brisket, along with a large bowl of tender, super hot noodles, plus baby greens. In the broth, you could clearly taste the cardamom, & the flavor from red chile peppers, plus also the tastes derived from cinnamon sticks. Yowza, this was so good! To cap it off, we ordered Shanghai-Grilled Pork Buns. These babies looked beautiful, tasted incredible, & were loaded with ground pork. There were golden brown sear marks on the bottom of these, & pale-colored sesame seeds, on the bottom of these, & black sesame seeds, sprinkled on the top of these Pork Buns, which really rocked! I'd definitely come back here!
We’ve eaten at the one on Convoy and loved it so when we were in Carlsbad and saw this location we had to try. Shanghai noodles and braised pork belly sooooo delicious!!!! Beautiful restaurant and super friendly staff. Will recommend to everyone
Wow, really good food! The lo mein noodles and Taiwan chicken were both awesome. We will definitely go back. Fast and friendly service.Food: 5/5
My husband bought me the Shanghai grilled pork buns and chive/pork dumplings. I was so disappointed. The grilled buns were inedible because they weren't cooked. Imagine eating half cooked dough! The dumpling skins were tornso the filling was soggy. Should have saved my $ and wrapped my own dumplings and buns.Food: 1/5
We have been to the one in Convoy before so we expect the foods to be as good, but it’s actually better! The grilled pork buns is really good and came out hot and crispy on the bottom. The service is great. We will be back again for sure.Food: 5/5
