I have been using TFX to do my USA taxes since 2015, initially while I lived in the UK and also since I moved back to the USA.  Their service is excellent!  In particular, I value their questionnaire which is much easier and clearer than my previous tax preparer.  Their web site is very user-friendly and they respond promptly and clearly to questions I ask.  I highly recommend them!

I have used Taxes for Expats for the past 10 years now.  I am very pleased with their outstanding professionalsim in dealing with the complicated mess that the US tax system creates for American citizens residing permantely abroad. Taxes are one of those life requirements that just fill me with dread. However, since leaving the US in 2018, and renouncing my permanent residency, TFX have handled all my US tax affairs. In 2021 I found out I was suppose to have been filing several different forms due to having started a SMSF in Australia. There were 4 family members involved, three being US citizens. After much searching in Australia and USA for a suitable tax agent we settled on TFX.  They informed us of the Foreign Streamlined Offshore Program to get caught up and hopefully not have to pay penalties. As I was travelling at the time, and a huge backlog at post offices due to covid 19,  some of these  forms did not arrive in USA from Italy and I ended up with several penalties.  During the whole process of going through tax advocate, and appeals, Rebecca my tax agent was genuinely concerned and even though she had finished my FSOP documents and tax returns submitted kept in touch with regards to the ongoing saga of the penalties. After 1 1/2 years the case was finally settled and penalties were removed from my account. I would highly recommend TFX and particularly Rebecca O'Malley. Rebecca is so knowledgeable, patient and quick in responding. She was so patient in navigating me through the mine field of FSOP and would clarify anything I didn't understand with very easy to understand language.
