Great place to camp. Plenty of hiking around the area.

Taylor Valley is one of the outdoor destinations I visit a few times each year. The Finger Lakes Hiking Trail passes through it which provides a great hiking opportunity. There is a day use area directly off Taylor Valley Rd.. You can park there and do two loops using the FLT and the seasonal forest roads the State has put in. If you're an avid hiker, you can get a decent amount of elevation gain and depending on how you combine the hiking trail and roads you can end up with a hike ranging from 5 miles to 15 miles. 

Note, this area is also popular with hunter and snowmobilers when in season and there is snow. The day use area has a covered picnic table area with two tables and some grills. There are no other facilities there.
