We have camped at Taylorsville Lake Campground many times, camping on site #21. The site as a slight downhill slope, but nothing that requires a lot of leveling. On the drivers side there is a small stand of trees that gives you the feel of seclusion. On the curb/passenger side a nice large grassy area. Lots of room between sites. We camp in 43' fifth wheel and there is plenty of room for both camper and tow vehicle. The times I have visited the bathhouse, it was very clean. Overall I would give this Campground the highest possible rating. No complaints at all.

Loved the camp sites. Clean restrooms and showers. The RV pads are not completely level so we have to heighten one side. The campsites are not near the water, and the lake water seems low. We did not see any place to swim, just fish. We do not have horses but there are trails and stables to ride your horses. We did not see any place to rent them though.

Enjoyed the one night we camped there. Took the kids to the park. The equipment was in good shape. The ground around the equipment hasn't seen maintenance in some time. The horseshoe pits are unusable due to disrepair. Campsites are good. We would definitely camp there again. Have to keep in mind the lack of funding from state.

Great size spots available. Kids enjoyed the playground and it was very close to the site so I was comfortable letting them play while I cooked. One of the only state parks we've been to that actually had soap in the bathroom (first one in 7 states actually). Great hot water in showers with great water pressure. Nice RV dump site as well-the grade on the drain actually drained properly which isn't always the case at some parks! The staff wasn't available at the campground check-in but when we got to the main office they were very accomadating and super helpful.

Shower houses were very clean. Friendly staff. Primitive camp sites were spaced out well and shade coverage was perfect to keep the tent from becoming a sauna at 6am. Fishing on the pier by the boat launch was good.
