Tazza is a gem of a place. Every single dish we ate was full of bright warm flavors. Super fresh food that was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the curry chicken rice dish, Greek salad, lentil soup, dolmades, gyro, and hummus. The owner Mr. Martin is a fabulous host and a joy to talk to. I would have added more photos but once we tasted the food we stopped documenting and just enjoyed ourselves. So yummy!
Wow, what a gem of a restaurant. There are few occasions where I would give more than 5 stars if I could and this Mediterranean restaurant was one of them. We are visiting the area on vacation and we're lucky enough to choose this place based on reviews and what we were in the mood for. We split the Spinach and Feta Triangles appetizer, the kabob platter, and baklava for dessert. We could not even finish it all and it was so delicious you just have to come and try it. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner and you could feel his passion and hospitality. Again, if you are in the area I would highly recommend trying this restaurant out - you won't regret it - guaranteed!
This review is long overdue! Tazza is easily the best Turkish food in Tampa Bay Area and I wouldn’t consider it too much of a stretch to say ALL of Florida! I love Mediterranean food and regularly try new places and go out of my way looking for different Mediterranean restaurants when I’m traveling and I have yet to find a place better than Tazza. I’ve tried a variety of things on the menu and have loved them all. My go to is the Beyti Kebab or the Iskander. The appetizers are a MUST! The pilaki, spinach pie and Turkish yogurt are my favorite. The pita bread that comes with the appetizer is a joy all on its own. It is the best, toasty delicious goodness. I could seriously go on about this place for days! And I haven’t even mentioned the frozen mint lemonade which WOW and the kunafe for dessert is just the way to go. The hardest part about going to the restaurant is that I legit want it all and I just can’t! If you’ve been debating trying this place out DO IT! It’s small and sometimes the crowds might make you want to go elsewhere but don’t. It’s worth the wait.
Best quality , best price , best shawarma and best Turkish food. The owners are very friendly, welcoming with great smile, made sure their guest get the best service. I would highly recommended. Great atmosphere
Tazza is small seats 16, cozy with divine Turkish cuisine. It's a strong reminder to book a flight & visit Turkey. Really loved the Curry Chicken Platter with perfect saffron rice, and Tabouli salad. I ordered the Kunafa for dessert. It's made at the time you order and took 20 minutes. Beyond a doubt worth the wait. I find these Clover Credit Card machines bad whenever they present it at the tip phase. I also suggest they remember to turn their outdoor sign on at dusk. Very easy to miss the location having very lit stores on either side. Vegetarian options: Vast arrary of vegitarian items.
The place is very small but nice and looks welcoming. But when you get greeted by the host and his condescending attitude and responses kind of takes it away and leaves a bad taste. I don’t know if he was the owner or just works there and he’s having a bad day. But when you portrayed those kind of behavior to your customers it doesn’t look good for the business. We feel like we were rushed for everything. And towards the end, when we asked for the check he just brought the Credit card machine and show us the screen of how much we tipping him. We had to ask him can we see the bill first. Experience was completely horrible but food was amazing. It’s the only reason I’m giving a 4 stars instead of 1.
This place was absolutely outstanding! Not only the food but the service were terrific. And I’ve got to say the baklava was the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. I want to give it 10 stars. It’s a small place with a very casual and intimate setting and so worth a visit. We ate the spanakopita so fast we forgot to get a picture.
It is a turkish restaurante with a lot of turkish dishes. Prices are pretty reasonable, but I do not know why maps mark it with $$. All foods are halal and staff can talk turkish.Food: 5/5
As someone travelling from out of the city and country into Tampa I was disappointed at the level of service and quality of this restaurant. The food taste and quality was mediocre at most, portions weren’t equivalent to the price though. The service was disappointing aswell as it’s a halal spot with the owner/waiter being Muslim he had a lot of attitude and gave a penny pincher vibe. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone travelling into Tampa, drive out to Orlando a little and go to a proper Turkish spot like flame kabob, level of service is a lot better, quality of food is good when we got food, and the price is reasonable. Hope tazza can take the feedback and implement into their resteraunt.
Food was really great. I didn't eat outside, but the seating outside had super comfortable chairs. Everything was clean Nice vegetarian selections if you do not want to eat meat. Main dishes were big portions. It had a casual atmosphere, but priced sort of high for that vibe.$22-24 a entree with no pita or side salad, plastic cups, no small plates for shared appetizers, help yourself napkins, is slightly steep. It does taste fresh and homemade, I hope I paid for that, and wasn't fooled. : There was one bathroom and the door lock is broken. I gave it 4 stars for how delicious everything tasted. I normally take pictures of everything, but we hadn't eaten all day and it 4PM. I honestly was so hungry we ate the second it hit the table. People were in and out with to go orders, it seemed really popular for takeout. I wanted to take more inside photographs, but there were customers and I didn't want to be rude.
