Telefèric Barcelona - Los Gatos
"Telefèric Barcelona is an authentic Spanish tapas and paella dining destination in the Bay Area. It's a family owned restaurant group operated by Spanish sibling duo Xavi and Maria Padrosa. The original restaurant in Sant Cugat was opened by their parents more than thirty years ago and trailblazed the movement of 'pintxos' in the Catalonia region."

Came on a Saturday for brunch, plenty of open tables. Amicable staff, ambiance was nice albeit felt there was a lack of soft background music. The tapas were quite small and overall price was decent for this establishment. Meatballs were moist, lacked a bit of flavor. Kebabs were good, a bit salty. Chorizo tacos were delicious, sausage was a bit hard but meant to be that way. Brussel sprouts were moist and good, sauce complemented well. The sangria was also good, a bit sweet. The service was okay, servers kept bringing us orders of plates that were not ours. Plenty of parking around the area.
Amazing Spanish cuisine! The oysters were super fresh, the drink variety/cocktails are solid, I enjoyed the meat & seafood paella so so much. The tomahawk is a perfect shareable item as well! For dinner time it can get loud due to other patrons + music but nothing crazy. SUPER FRIENDLY WAITERS! Will come again : Parking: The plaza has very limited parking on peak hours, plan ahead to find street parking! Kid-friendliness: More for adults i would say
Had the black paella for my birthday. Was more delectable than those I got from Palo Alto location. The appetizers were great as well, especially the octopus. Wine, however, had cork particles, most likely from dry corks. Must store the wine sideways instead of upright! Other than the wine, the food was excellent!Food: 4/5
Great food and sangrias. Our server was a little too busy, so we had to ask twice for missing utensils. Paper menus had some fat stains on them, I wish they checked them before reusing. We had an outside table, it is very pretty right now with all the lights in the evenings. They have heaters and blankets.Food: 5/5
Great place to eat! Enjoyed sharing the Iberico Pork Paella. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The pork had a toasty flavor.l and the chicken was so tender. The paella was cooked so that the bottom was very crunchy. Marvelous!Food: 5/5
Highly recommend the “Pan con Tomate” for the appetizer, the bread was toasted perfectly and you can taste the freshness of the tomato. 10/10 for this dish. The Iberico Pork Paella were amazing. The pork were really tender and juicy. The rice was well seasoned. Also highly recommend! Overall, the whole experience was above the rate!
We dined at their patio on a Saturday night. Reservations are recommended. It was hard to get our main server; good thing there were several staff around refilling water, clearing tables and bringing food. We could ask them to find our server or order additional items. We had paella negra, burrata bowl salad, ham croquetas , seasonal flatbread with ham and the churro con Nutella for dessert. Food was ok. The burrata bowl has an interesting and refreshing taste and was our favorite. The paella had a good mix of rice and seafood. It got really chilly at night - perhaps more heaters could help. Gratuity is automatically added. Parking at the plaza could get difficult but there is a free parking structure a few meters across the street.
Best tapas place in the area. The variety is great and the drinks are really food. The tuna tacos and the shrimps are both delicious.Food: 4/5
We have been Teleferic before but it has been a while and this is the first time at the Los Gatos location. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. Our bill for four people, two adults and two teenagers was $320. I think there are much better restaurants in the area at that price point. We had the mixed paella. The chicken was dry, the pork was fatty and the rice did not have the crust expected from a paella. The drinks were dramatic in presentation but basic in flavor. The octopus was tender but the sauce is heavy in garlic that it overwhelms the meat. The empanadas were bland and dry. The potatoes were good but what isn’t with that much mayo and spicy sauce. The brussle sprouts and ham were the best things but I can make those at home for much much less. Also, beware, as with the other Teleferic locations, the interior is loud loud loud.
Tasty food but pricey. Quality ingredients, interesting flavors, nice presentation. Friendly staff, good service. Main dining room is noisy. 20% gratuity automatically included in bill which you can ask to remove.Food: 5/5
