Reform Jewish Synagogue
Note: We do not charge attendance fees. Our hours vary, please check our website calendar for more info.
Our warm, compassionate, vibrant, spirited, inclusive, and participatory Reform Jewish community is religiously and geographically diverse, serving Washington's northern Puget Sound. Browse our Web site, attend a service or event, and join us!
As God’s covenantal partners in fulfilling mitzvot, our priorities are:
• K’hilah (community) / Mishpacha (family) — nurturing our interactive, multigenerational extended family;
• Torah — lifelong learning, searching for meaning, and seeking comfort and healing;
• Avodah — worship and celebration through the observance of meaningful, creative, and traditional rituals;
• Tikkun Olam — transforming ourselves and our world through tzedakah (fairness), social justice, and g’milut chasadim (acts of loving kindness).
Our membership committee wants to share some key messages for potential members:
1. We are here to help answer any questions you may have about Temple Beth Or
2. It is not our intent to make anyone feel pressured about membership
3. We are a Reform synagogue and we welcome interfaith and same sex families
4. No one is turned away simply because of their financial situation. We encourage everyone
to speak to our finance contact because the Temple works with each individual and their own situation.
5. We want the Temple to feel welcoming to visitors; if it does not the committee would like to know about it
6. When someone joins our congregation, it will be because they WANT to be a part of our community.
We hope you will consider Temple Beth Or in your search for a new congregation and community. Your feedback is welcomed. Please LIKE us!
