Temple Har Shalom is a vibrant Reform Jewish congregation in Somerset County. Our calendar is infused with worship, holiday celebrations together with learning and social action opportunities for for all who wish to participate in Jewish life and ritual.

Story

Temple Har Shalom is an open, vibrant and progressive Reform community that welcomes everyone through the doors to share in the warmth of our school, our services and programming for members of all ages.

Led by Rabbi Randi Musnitsky and Cantor Anna Berman, Temple Har Shalom seeks to meld the rich history of Judaism with 21st-century life by offering innovative programming, technological integration, a cutting-edge educational curriculum, and a wide array of engaging speakers, services and learning experiences.

For more than 20 years, Mountain Top School for Young Children at Temple Har Shalom has provided preschoolers with a rich and stimulating environment that is warm, loving, and supportive of each child’s development.

Our K-12 Religious School is the only school in New Jersey to be accredited by the National Association of Temple Educators and includes flexible scheduling (including a 1 day/week option), online registration, Hebrew instruction, an elective-based High School with over 120 students, our Open Door program for children with learning challenges, and an array of engaging family programs. Further, our full-time Youth Engagement Coordinator brings our rich culture and traditions to life with memorable events.
