Story

Since 1982, The Tender Trap has been providing our guests with a great place for food, drinks, and family fun. We offer a complete menu of delicious homemade selections, including our daily specials. Our sports bar specializes in steak, ribs, and seafood, but also offer freshly prepared pizza and pasta with home-cooked meatballs and marinara from an old family recipe. Our sports bar is open until 4a.m every day of the week and offers a casual, fun filled atmosphere that's sure to please our guests & patrons of all ages.

I started going to The Tender Trap over 25 years ago. The crowd has changed quite a bit and it is not as safe as it used to be, particularly at night. They do have karaoke pool tables, and an outdoor seating area but they are next door to a cigar shop so it constantly smells like cigars inside. I believe it is still owned by an Italian family which is evident by the above-average and cheaper food that they serve. It's just not the best dining experience with the smell of the cigars so I don't go often but if you are one for a garlic pizza get one from here. It was excellent! Good place to see a game with lots of TVs. It's totally safe in the day, particularly during the week but I would skip the weekend nights.

The 5 star review is for the restaurant aspect of the trap. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive. We usually come on Monday for half price wings and Thursday for half price pizza. Saturday night is also AYCE crab legs. Perfect for a date night with the wife. I like to spend money in local businesses. Don't ask me about the night life. I haven't come for that in many years, it can be a little rough. Over all, great place for dinner with the family.

Nice neighborhood setting for a drink, neighborly chat, and banter while watching a game. Food is decent as bar food goes - (from the perspective of a health nut). Food is tasty. Hamburger is lean and the chicken quesadillas are not heavy.
