This place doesn't really need my review it speaks for itself, but I'm going to make one anyway. Firstly we were thrown off when we walked in and you order fast food style, even though that was different and unexpected we loved it. You order, get your number, pick your table inside or out and wait for them to bring your food. From there it's like a typical casual restaurant except you get your own soda refills... Which I loved. Alcohol is served to the table. The food was amazing and took only 5 minutes to arrive hot and fresh. Restrooms were decorated nice and very clean. If you like Mexican food this stop is a must. I recommend the monster burrito, it is truly enormous. Almost a foot long.
It's different in the matter you walk up to order at the counter but they do bring you the food. You get ur own drink and prices have gone up. We spent over $100 for4 people and all got waters.Food: 3/5
This restaurant use to be our go to every Friday night. After last night we won't be going back anytime soon. No longer have a waiter or waitress to take your order. You go to the counter just like a fast food place. They give you a number and bring it to the table. No one stops by to check on things. They do still bring you chips and salsa. We had to beg for someone to take our order at the table since we were a large group. We asked for an extra cup for the margarita tower and you would have thought we asked for the world. I also asked if we could get 3 kids cups and they informed me I need to go up to the counter and pay for them separately from the order we placed at the table. $9 for 3 kids drinks. The rice was terrible, they must have changed it. The chips were burnt or over cooked. Just a really bad experience in a place we use to love.
Order at the counter and then take a seat to wait for food to be delivered to your table. Chimichanga with rice and beans was quite good. Pretty typical Mexican fare for the St. Louis area. Chips and salsa were also delivered to the table. The chips were a bit thinner and better than many places. Salsa was pretty standard, but good. The food came out quite quickly. The service was better than average, but also minimal. Great for a quick meal though. Many booths available that offer privacy between tables. My meal was $12.99 + tax with no drink. Location is convenient since it’s in a plaza with a local grocery Schnucks and other area services. Plenty of close parking.
Joe Vazquez handsome young fella did a great job directing me to my new favorite meal… his customer service skills are fantastic!
The friendliness and customer service is unlike any we’ve had anywhere else and consistently exceptional. Restaurant is always clean and food is served quickly…and those margaritas are THE BEST I’ve had anywhere.
This location is awesome! They just recently changed their format on ordering and seating and I love it. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and its very clean. The new format let's you choose your own seats and puts less stress on staff. The menu seems smaller, but still has all the favorites. This is always my go to place when I visit IL. Love the cheese dip and taco salad!
I liked it much better before they but turned it into what feels like a fast food place. If I knew it before went there for dinner we would not have gone. I understand it is probably due to efficacy in these times when it is difficult to get enough workers. But I wasn't expecting to stand at a reader board to order, get our own drinks and napkins all for the same prices that existed when they had wait staff. Not to mention the salsa was down right cold. The folks working were very nice for certain and the food was good enogh. It just seemed nicer when they used to have waiters and waitresses.
The food was amazing as usual. However, I regret using the free wi-fi. I guess I could have used a fake email address instead of signing in with my personal email. I have received at least five emails in 5 days from tequila's restaurant. Other than that I have zero complaints. DELICIOUS
New format of ordering at the counter has some drawbacks. Food is still great, but most didn't mind having a server to order from and the feeling that brings to a dining experience.
