The options for old fashioned drive-in theaters in the area are very limited. For those coming from Boise or Meridian Terrace is definitely the closest. I’ve been here many times and I’ve always had a good time! The movie prices are pretty low especially when compared to movie theaters in the area, you basically get to see two movies for the price of one. The concessions are also priced fairly. Pro Tip: fill the bed of a truck with pillows or a mattress and blankets. Also don’t forget to start your car periodically so the battery doesn’t die while you’re listening to the movie on your radio.

A great place to go see a couple movies for a good price. This is also a great option if you have younger children who arent quite ready to go to the theater. The concessions are also priced fairly. While there are a couple improvements to be made, you can definitely tell that the owner cares about the drive-in experience.

Discriminated against me for having a service dog. Not a pet, not an ESA, a service dog. The female employee with blonde hair & glasses yelled at me from behind the counter that I needed to stay outside with my pet. I informed her it was a service dog. She then continued to argue, berate, harass, & humiliate me in front of other customers, my children, & my husband. She was completely ignorant of the ADA & service dog laws. My husband & I repeatedly explained the law to her in which she would deny such laws existed while making up her own ridiculous, uneducated laws about service dogs. She further said that not even service dogs were allowed. We told her that was absolutely illegal. But she would not stop. She had to be right and she wanted to assert some kind of control or power over me. She put me down, put my dog down, & ridiculed me until she brought me to tears. Even then, she continued to make her jabs & spout hate & ignorance. I left as instructed by her & all the while her manager was listening to this interaction. I want to insert here that my service dog was on excellent behavior, he didn’t make a peep or disrupt anything. His behavior was impeccable because he was working!! The concession building is disgusting as are the bathrooms, I didn’t even want my dog on that filthy floor. But we did as we were told & had to go to Jack in the Box nearby to eat. My entire family was upset by how I was treated, but I didn’t want to ruin the nite for them. We had never been to this theater before & hadn’t had a chance to visit the movies in years. So I told them that we were not going to let that woman ruin our nite anymore than she had & that we would go back for the movie. We did & as the movie was ending, we went in & asked to speak to a manager. To our dismay, the manager was the same man who heard this employee discriminate against me. As soon as we asked for a manager, he rudely interrupted & said “I already talked to her!” Well, we still had things we needed to discuss with him & we wanted him to know what happened to me was illegal. He had zero empathy & zero knowledge about service dog law. He continued to blame the health department, saying they are who told them no service dogs allowed (another lie). He complimented the female employee over & over instead of admitting she was foul & in the wrong. He wouldn’t listen to a word we said. We explained the ADA to him & he acted as if we were lying. He was insensitive & insulting. I implored him to please read the ADA & have his employees as well. To which he rudely retorted, “Yeah we definitely will after THIS.” We could have called the police, but we had hope this manager (Ronnie Holder) would do as he promised & that this would never happen to another disabled person. But, nope! He just couldn’t do it. New movies were posted today & I politely posted asking if the employees had been trained in the ADA as we may like to come back & see a movie. My comment was not responded to & it was deleted. Therefore, I let all my friends & family on fb know what had been done to me & so they went onto the company’s fb page & asked what on earth was going on? Ronnie proceeded to lie to each & every one of them claiming that no one was ever denied service due to a service dog & he further made excuses & attempted to spread more incorrect information about the ADA. He even had friends come on the fb threads & try to bully my loved ones calling them liars & that sweet little Ronnie would never treat a service dog unkindly. Um, these friends of Ronnie’s weren’t even there. I don’t care if Ronnie shines your shoes each time you visit—what he did to me & what he let his employee do is absolutely disgusting, illegal, & discriminatory behavior. He continues to lie on fb & delete comments proving how he is lying rather than just owning up to their major mistake, having the female employee apologize, Ronnie apologize, & making it right so that this never happens to another disabled person. Stop the discrimination & lies! Boycott Terrace Drive-In!
