Story

Regular monthly programs offered at Terry:

Book Babies—A lapsit storytime for ages newborn to 24 months with books, songs, tickle games, and learning, followed by 15-20 minutes of toys and social time for both babies and their caregivers.

Toddler Storytime—This storytime is for children ages 2-3 years old and involves stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or activity, all centered around one theme per week. It lasts for about 30 minutes.

Preschool Storytime—This storytime is for children ages 4-5 years old and involves stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or activity, all centered around one theme per week. It lasts for about 30-40 minutes.

Family Storytime—This storytime is for families with multiple kids of all ages and involves stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or activity, all centered around one theme per week. It lasts for about 30-40 minutes.

Book a Trip with Dewey—A weekly program specifically designed for homeschool students. Each week focuses on a different topic, incorporating both fiction and nonfiction books, as well as a craft or activity. For kids ages 5 & up.

Pizza plus a Paperback Book Club—A kids’ book club that meets every first Thursday of the month. Every other month is BYOB (Bring Your Own Book). In the in-between months, a juvenile fiction book is chosen for the whole group to read. Please see a librarian for the current month’s book. Pizza and drinks are provided. For kids ages 8 & up.

High School Breakroom—A place and time to use the library's laptops for homework or fun, or participate in an art project, game, craft, or activity. Sometimes there are prizes. Always there is soda. For teens only.

Socrates Café—A philosophical, nonacademic discussion group that chooses topics by popular vote. It meets each third Thursday of the month.

Book Lovers’ Book Club—This book club meets each third Tuesday of the month. The books are decided on by the group. Please ask a librarian for the current month’s book selection.
